Hi SS,
I have heard that the LOTR Medallion program was discontinued for lack of fan support. Is this a fact?
It would seem that with the swelling tide of interest in ALL thing LOTR that maybe someone should go back and reexamine this program at some point. I have all sixteen of the medallions and was so looking forward to the last set of eight (ROTK). Your web site photos really did them no justice. Of course all your items are much better "live" than the pictures. But the 3-D detail on these plaques is amazing! Even if you raised your price on them and made them a "very select edition", I would still snap them up in a heartbeat.
Thanks for being here for us uncurable SS/Wetaholics!

Come on Brant, knock on some doors, pull some strings.
Definitely alot more interest now, on top of all of us who signed up for the Medallion Program.

I am truly perlexed why, even now with the renewed interest in the medallions, they still won't address this issue and release the remaining 8.:dunno I was a subscriber to the program and was absolutely gutted to learn of their decision not to proceed beyond #16. :(
Just look at what we could have had::cry

I am not a weta collector. I do think the true LOTR fans are in this community, and as such, maybe there isn't enough support to warrant the time and cost involved, for Sideshow to produce everything we may want. I refer to the fact there is only 380 odd members here. The only thing I can think of, is, to commission Sideshow to produce the product we want. This however would take a lot of organisation, between ourselves and Sideshow, and advances of money, into a single community chest specifically for this purpose. This may coerce Sideshow to do a limited edition, of say 200-500 items for a guaranteed liquidation of said item/items.
Not much help perhaps, but at least it's an idea.
