Just curious if/when you guys do figures from the Silmarillion book do you need to get authorization from Christopher Tolkien? Or are they kind of open since there is mention of them in the LOTR books? I guess what I'm asking is how do overcome licensing issues, or are there any?:dunno

I'd imagine there would have to be a movie first before there would be enough demand for Silmarillion statues.

Yeah I was just wondering if they do decide to do figures from the Silmarillion book, even though no movie was out if they would have to get a License for the statues, more or less a curiosity question!

I was thinking along the same lines it would happen more if there was a movie released of it first. NOW what Im wondering if Sideshow has any plans or whatever with Arnold here in the future.

I'd dearly love to see a spin-off line of figures, busts, etc., from the illustrations of the prolific Tolkien artists like Alan Lee and John Howe. After all Alan Lee is involved with the World of Froud, another Sideshow Collectibles franchise. 8)
