Tech ?

Hi.
As a customizer of SST's civil war & six gun legend series figures, my ? is this: What material are the boots & hats made out of for those series? I would like to find a paint (Latex?), dye or markers that could be used to paint these items, that would dry completely, with no stickiness or residue left behind. Do you folks have any recommendations? How is color applied to these by Sideshow? Any help will be much appreciated, thanks in advance.

Hi Dub J,

As for painting boots, or other parts....you can use a water based acrylic paint (Badger Freak Flex, Tamiya, Liqua-tex, etc.). As long as you use a water bases paint...you will have no prob.
Now if you start dabblin' in laquers and other solvent based paints...then you will run into the "tacky" finish that never really drys. There are ways arounds this, but you are bette roff not even going there.
