Okay, I've seen all the seasons of the show. I've started buying some 12" figures. I've had to return the box sets to my friend... he needed to convert another soul. So I was looking to purchase the Chosen DVD set... trying to find the best price.
Costco had it for $145 but has sold out. :(
Amazon had for $169 but no longer has it available. :(
I had a 30% coupon for Borders but they don't stock it. :(
Ebay ranges from $200-$250 including shipping. :(
Are there any good deals out there that I'm not aware of? It seems like this disc set is getting harder and harder to find.

I have heard from several people that it's sold out everywhere. Done and gone. It was a limited release, so not really surprised that it's pretty much impossible to find. I tried looking for it thru a couple of my "sources", but nada.
But you never know, one could be sitting on a shelf somewhere just waiting to be bought! Good luck! :peace
Update: Found it at Barnes and Noble:

Also, I checked amazon.ca, and they're still showing it in stock, too. Canada sells Region 1, so dvds play in the U.S. also. Link:

So looks like there are a few to be had, just have to dig!

Just a heads up but if you don't get the Collectors set they are rereleasing the individual seasons later this year for around $25 each. Each set will feature new casing with three plastic double disc thin storage cases for each season. Better in my opinion especially if you watch them often and the cardboard cases wear out on you.

Hmmm....
Interesting, I like that way of storing the discs better than the constant folding out of the current sets. :horror
How is the accessibility of the discs in The Chosen Collector's Set? I'm getting mixed reactions. Some love it, some hate it.
Any thoughts?

And you can buy all the current fold out sets for $164.38 from amazon. Going that route gets one less disc (IIRC) but it's a good deal to have all 7 seasons within your posession (if you don't mind the fold out cases too much). Since the chosen set is pretty hard to find this is a nice alternative methinks.

And as someone else mentioned earlier cheaper slim cases are on the way as well. :D

The best deal ever was the initial offering on Amazon for $130:google They took it down at that price when I went to buy it shortly before Thanksgiving. I ended up getting the Chosen Collection for X-Mas and it was purchased at Costco. It can be a bit cumbersome to get the later seasons out they way it's packaged, but I would just pull out the season I was gonna watch and keep it out until I was ready for the next season (usually a little less than a week)

I had pre-ordered from Amazon at $140 and then saw the $130 so I cancelled and re-ordered. By the time friend tried to order it had jumped up to $170. I mocked his misfortune.... :D

I think Fox did the same thing with the X-files by rereleasing the seasons at a cheaper price and small boxes.
I'm at a croosroads with Buffy. I got Seasons 1-4 . I would like the whole set in 1 box, but I dont know whats cheaper or if its better to have them all in 1 set etc.
I do have all the X-files great show. I also Just bought the "Roswell" seasons. I like it, alittle teenie booper but anything with Aliens I like. "Taken" is another favorite. Finally, I also got Millenium, not what I expected. Thought it would be better, only got threw 1/2 of season 1.

I got that same deal from Amazon.
Amazon has some really great deals on preorders if you place your order early.

Amazon is offering pre-orders to the slim case Buffy re-releases for $28 each. I wonder if I should pre-order now or wait for a better deal later. Or WILL there be a better deal?
