Here is a guy I have been working on, Colonel/Admiral Wullf Yularen.

http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20070714060447/starwars/images/f/f4/WullfYularen.jpg

Here is a picture of him with his hat on. Wullf is on the right obviously.
http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100110171508/starwars/images/c/ce/Isbelevator.jpg

Here are a couple early shots. I still need to dremmel a bit more and touch up the hair on the sides. I also need to paint the belt buckle and do a few other things.

The head was a SSC Rebel Fleet trooper with mustache and side hair added, the belt is from a Hasbro Imperial officer, Praji hat, Admiral Thrawn outfit with rank badge cut in half to be screen accurate and Dragon boots.

http://i925.photobucket.com/albums/ad100/Chaka34/wulff1.jpg

Pretty easy custom. I have always wanted one of those white outfit officers from ANH. More pictures when he is finished.

Awesome work, Chakaman! I've been tempted to do him in the Clone Wars series since I like the uptight British Officer look they gave him.

Quick question though, don't they wear black pants?

I am not sure, but you may be right. The Hasbro figure has white pants though and I could not find any reference pictures. I need to watch ANH again, I think you can briefly see his pants in that shot. If they wear black pants, its an easy fix.

Thanks!

wow! That sculpt is absolutley perfect for him!

You think that's an easy custom? The other day I made a companion for my SS EpII clone trooper, used a "failed" helmet cast Dorgs sent me, patched up the fin on top (the very tip was lost to an air bubble, that was about the only flaw!), painted it up (ugh that didn't work well... there's gotta be an easier way to do it!), stuck it on my clonobi sans cape... Now that's about the easiest custom ever (unless you count body swaps, like putting hasbro clothes on a HT body... I've done that too tho... :lol)

The ones walking down the hall way do and I think their jackets are not quite white, its hard to tell though with all the odd lighting, but I am pretty sure the guy he's working on wears what Thrawn does, with white pants. There are so many variations on that style uniform.

It would appear that he does wear black pants, and that his tunic is more of an off white or cream, but I think the white works just fine. Easily recognizable as who he is supposed to be.

I think it looks great the way it is. You could pick up some Prajii pants and switch them out, but I still think the all white looks great.

I was saying that the guys walking down the hallway are wearing the black pants and not quite white jackets, but I dont think that applies to the guy sitting at the table, I think he wears white pants and a white jacket. But the jacket color like I said before could just be the lighting so they may all bee white. They are all ISB officer's so they could all be wearing black pant's also, It would be nice if there was a picture of him standing.

It's the same guy. The image walking down the hallway is the original shot that his closeup wearing the hat picture comes from. And watching the scene at the table, it really does appear to be off white. I still think the all white looks best though.

I think your right, I never looked that close at that picture becuse the faces were so blurred.

The white pants do look good, but if you have a Thrawn and some other officer's the variety would be nice having him wear black pants.

SERIOUS ? I am a star wars fan. I love the old trilogy. Your making a 1/6th figure on a guy i've never seen. Hes an extra in the film ? He doesnt have a back plot or history in the actual films. Your making a 1/6th version of him lol. Sorry am not dissin you but u might as well do 1/6th figures of all the extras in the films. Its not even like people are saying "Colonel Wullf Yularen !!! OMG....he kicked *** in the film...seriously did a great job in the film and I wish I had a 1/6th of him"....Atleast do main characters...bring on the hate messages !

Very serious. Maybe if you visited this forum more often you would understand. To most of us here, the background characters are very exciting and are lot of fun to do since we know they will never be made by Sideshow. I mean guys here have done Fixer, Uncle Owen, random droids, skiff guards etc and its all great.

This guy is going to add a lot to my display when I put him next to the characters Sideshow has done.

No hate. I just disagree with your opnion.

Pretty good call on the design, unfortunately the Hasbro version fell a bit short. I really like the pattern Hasbro used for the Imperial Officer. I dare say I think I like it better than SSC's even. But the AT-ST driver not on the same level unfortunately.

The Hasbro X-Wing flightsuits would work well I think. I have a spare one I am going to turn grey for either a Rebel Tech or Impeial Tech. I am pretty sure they used the same design for all three when making the films.

Cool custom!

One comment: those Imperial guys with the white tunics wore black pants. (you can see it if you watch the scene where they walk by Han, Luke and Chewie by the elevator). Easy fix though.

The Hasbro 3 3/4 figure got it wrong.

Ok, so if extras are sooo lame and unimportant, well imagine if they were removed from the movies. Here's what you get:

in the first part of ANH, Vader enters triumphantly after a battle between no one and no one.
http://i577.photobucket.com/albums/ss211/the_dude_person/emptyvadercopy.jpg

after being pulled over by no one, Obi-Wan Kenobi uses his Jedi mind trick to convince the air around him that "these are not the droids you're looking for"
http://i577.photobucket.com/albums/ss211/the_dude_person/emptysandies.jpg

and Vader chokes absolutely no one, as Tarkin looks on.
http://i577.photobucket.com/albums/ss211/the_dude_person/emptyvader2copy.jpg

then of course you have an almost empty mos eisley cantina, with the camera focusing pointlessly on empty cantina booths and tables, and so on....

put the extras back in and you get this:

Thank you!

Perhaps now uzumaki_1 will understand the importance of extras in the star wars universe!

oh and by the way, Yularen does in fact have a back story!
Here it is from the SW wikia:

Wullf Yularen was a male Human, born into a prominent Coruscanti family and raised on Anaxes. Early on in his military career, Yularen distinguished himself as a captain in the Kwymar Sector Fleet, fighting against slavers and pirates. While serving with the fleet, Yularen became obsessed with intelligence security, which the Galactic Republic's law-enforcement agencies lacked. His desire for improving security and prevent leaks led him to resign from the sector fleet and instead serve as an intelligence officer in the Republic's Senate Bureau of Intelligence. There he investigated many senators, but ultimately the corruption in the bureau—combined with the powerful enemies he made—forced him to resign. He didn't quit the intelligence career, however, as he assigned to an anti-corruption unit in the Office of the Supreme Chancellor. A special agent, it was his duty to investigate government corruption, especially during the Separatist Crisis. He became a strong supporter of Supreme Chancellor Palpatine during this time, and Yularen's dedication earned him Palpatine's attention. Yularen ultimately retired from his new position and returned to Anaxes, but the Supreme Chancellor still had work for him to do.

In 22 BBY, during the Clone Wars, Yularen was persuaded by Palpatine to join the Republic Navy as an admiral, becoming one of the youngest naval officers to hold the rank. He was assigned to Jedi General Anakin Skywalker, whom Yularen saw as a reckless starfighter pilot rather than a respectable general. Commanding his fleet in numerous engagements, the admiral primarily operated from the bridge of the Venator-class Star Destroyer Resolute, his flagship. Yularen served in a wide variety of battlefronts during the first year of the war alone, ranging from key engagements like Christophsis and Ryloth to relatively minor flashpoints like Teth and Quell. Throughout the war, Admiral Yularen and his Jedi commanders—chiefly Skywalker, his Padawan Ahsoka Tano, and Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi—oversaw multiple Republic victories and defeats, including encounters with the Separatist Supreme Commander, General Grievous.

Following the conclusion of the war and the birth of the Empire in 19 BBY, Yularen returned to the intelligence business, and he would go on to serve as a colonel in the Imperial Security Bureau. When filing his factual reports, he was known to add a pro-New Order spin to them. He would later be stationed onboard the Death Star I, in 0 BBY, as head of the ISB contingent and a member of Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin's staff. Yularen was tasked with briefing the Grand Moff and maintaining loyalty to the Empire, as many senior officers aboard the station had plans to use the battlestation for their own means. Yularen was present during a meeting in the Death Star conference room when the station commanders discussed the theft of the Death Star plans and the ongoing search for the Rebel Alliance's hidden command base. When the location of the Rebel headquarters was discovered to be on Yavin 4, the Death Star moved to destroy the moon. Before it could complete its task, Rebel pilot and future Jedi Master Luke Skywalker managed to destroy the battlestation, killing all aboard, including Yularen.

turns out he's the admiral guy on the CW show now!

Seems the only place hes been seen or mentioned is in ANH, the Clone Wars series and a few book adaptions of episodes of the series.

I would like to see some similar characters show up in the Clone Wars but I think Veers or Piett would be quite young and probably unimportant (low ranked) at the time to be shown.

found this info on wookiepedia:

Veers would have been 26 or so and joins the military in the Rise of the Empire era right after the Clone Wars.

Piett doesnt have his age but shortly following the Declaration of a New Order and the ensuing Imperialization of the galaxy, Piett began his naval career, serving with the Axxila antipirate fleet.

I know in one of newer comic book series (I think its a team up of Kit Fisto and Plo Koon on an ice planet) theres a young Ozzel. I think thats his name. The guy Vader chokes in ESB and Piett takes his place. He's a major A-hole in it and the clone commander with him basically calls him out about it.
