This maybe a Military headline........but what about a 12" line for M*A*S*H*?

Oh yes! I'd go for these in a heartbeat. MASH is one of my all time favorite programs. This would be a dream line for me.

Huge fan of the first seven seasons M*A*S*H! A hit and miss fan of the last four. I would definitely be on board with a 12" line.

I would buy any and all 12 inch MASH figures! I even put that on my dream list in another thread. I'm glad someone else would like to see it also.

Anyone know who owns the MASH license or when the last time any figures were put out?

20th Century Fox. Have there ever been figures?

Unfortunately yes...

Man! No way Sideshow could make anything better than that!

I remember I was a huge MASH fan at the time and still thinking, wow those suck.

In 1970 Tri-Star International released three 9" figures, Hawkeye, B.J. and Hot Lips. These figures were like Remco's at the time (Welcome Back Kotter, Space 1999, Universal monsters...). While they are not the greatest looking figures, they sure are hard to find MMIP, let alone MIP.

If Sideshow never makes a Klinger figure, it would be a real drag.

I have to admit, out of all the licenses I could ever imagine, M*A*S*H was never one of them.

Yea, I think MASH has passed it's time. I don't know of anyone with interest in their figures.

Now how about some A-Team figures???? Come on Sideshow.

Wasn't there supposed to be a theatrical version of the A-Team in the works a few years back?
Hopefully it would've been better than the new Miami Vice. And I had heard of a Knightrider movie as well..........with Hasselhoff!!

Yea the Ateam movie has been in talks for a long time. Dream cast was George Clooney as Hannibal, Brad Pitt as Face, Jim Carey as Murdock and Ving Rhames as BA.

Nightrider would be kewl, but with no current Trans Am being made, it would not be right lol.

As dated as it is, it wouldn't be Knightrider without the original KITT.

How about not M.A.S.H!

I just can't work up any real interest in this sort of line up.

MASH is still shown in syndication several times day around the world. I'm sure there would be some interest in figures. I don't think they'll ever be made, but some of us would buy them if they were. Knight Rider on the other hand... I don't know why anyone would want a 12" Hasselhoff. (Insert joke here.)

It is all up to what individual collectors would want. I would prefer to collect MASH rather that Knightrider. A-Team is not a bad idea. But I could not see myself buying either, and I am 29 years old. Liked A-Team as a kid, hated Knightrider.

IMHO I do not think MASH is seen it's day. I still get chill's from the episode where Henry Blake dies. The show was well written, cast and the acting fantastic! I for one wish Sideshow would make at least one of each of the main characters. They could limit them to 500 each if they were concerned about left overs. I would rather they put the effort into these instead of a Graboid of Reign of fire statues.

How Ironic, we just watched M.A.S.H. the movie in film classstoday, and Wow is all I can say. I have been a fan of the TV series by Burt Metcalf since early childhood, but had always stayed away from this, Oh the things I missed. What a pleasure. If SSC was to do this, they would have to do the movie as well as the TV series.

Wayne Rogers and Pernell Roberts as Trapper John could be chase figures. There could be a film version of Radar and a TV version of Radar, and they could use the same mold.

If Hogan's Heroes or Get Smart, why not M*A*S*H?

As for A-Team or Knight Rider... well, why don't you guys start your own thread with that title and see how many people express interest, instead of burying it here? I think those properties will appeal to a different collecting group than the M*A*S*H crowd.

I think we could start a multitude of threads on an enormous amount of possible licenses. The only guys in town worthy of doing TV or Movie characters are Sideshow, Majestic and SFM. Unfortunately, Sideshow seems to be able to produce the items for a better production run than their counterparts [at least so far]. More unfortunate is that I really don't see Sideshow going out of their way to appease some of us who want some lines revisited or other classic lines introduced as long as they have certain cash cows already in tow.

I really would buy M*A*S*H figures, but I think you're right Ironman, if anyone was to make them, it would probably be someone like Majestic.

I do have the complete series DVD box set on order. I can't wait to check out all the bonus material.

.

Actually when it was first shopped around, mid 90's, I worked for Cannell, they wanted Bruce Willis for Hannibal & Bo Jackson was BA....

I would definitely purchase MASH figures.
