that's a good idea!!!!i was thinking of visiting sideshow,but it's a bit far from us,right??

Yeah, SSC is on the West Coast (in California). You'll be on the East Coast. I'm not familiar with New York, but I'm sure that there's PLENTY to do.

Worst case scenario, you just hang out with Jye's new entertainment center all day! :rock :lol

I'm sure there are many who are much more familiar with NYC than I, but some of my favorite places are hole-in-the-wall type establishments. There is excellent eating all over the city, although I'm partial to some of Chinatown's eateries.

Mr Ks on Lexington.
Red Lobster in Time Square

comic stores:
Midtown Comics Time Square
St. Marks comics
Jim Hanleys (opposite Empire State)

Viking Playground is in New York. I think Red Planet Toys is to. My wife ate at a restaurant with her daughter that had a horror theme to it. If you're interested I will find out the name of it.

ETA Hmm, I thought Red Planet Toys had a brick and mortar store but I think I'm wrong.

When I was there back in 2008 we stayed at the Grand Hyatt, right next to Grand Central Station. It was about a 5-10 min walk to Times Square.

Check out:

Carnegie Deli
Katz's Deli
Tao (Resturant)
Brazilian resturant (can't remember which one)
Take the Staten Island ferry (free) over to Staten Island, on the way you will get a decent view of the Statue of Liberty.

We hung out alot on Times Square (never got enough of the lights) We were all too old to go clubbing :D

I would also recommend taking a bus tour of Manhattan too, very fun. Oh and stay away from Canal street ............ cops frequent it all the time. Sure there are deals to be had but its also kinda run down and filled with VERY pushy people.

Enjoy! Its the coolest city i've ever been to.

-PLANET HOLLYWOOD: if you like movies you gotta see this place...a feast for the eyes...the food is average and overpriced.

-NINJA NEW YORK...the name says it all...this is one dining experience I will never forget.
