Hi guys,
I'm Old Bill from Surrey, England.
I collect Sideshow Bayonets and Barbed Wire series.
My hobbies include reading crime, history (I am fascinated by the Great War and how it changed the world, changes which can still be felt today) and comedy.
I have a large collection of 40/50's music, Rhythm n Blues (the old version which evolved into soul) Rockabilly and early country.
I like beer, Indian/Thai/Chinese food and bacon sandwiches.
I live with Carol.
Looking forward to hearing from other collectors.

I'm sure Carol would like you too. Sunny California, if you ever need any house guests, especially during British winter months Nov - May/June please think of us.

I'll bring the beer.

LOL- Well, I'm in the central valley, and right now is prime fog season, so it's not really that sunny here, but you're welcome to visit!

Welcome Bill, great to have you on board.
Lovely point of interest as well, any pics to show your B&B collection off?
I'm curious, being from Europe, where do you get your 1/6 scale stuff?

Most of my 1/6 stuff comes, at great expense, from across the Atlantic. Been better recently with the pound/dollar exchange rate being about $1.70 to the £1.
Sideshow have a Euro distributor and I have had the most recent issues from them.
There are British 1/6 dealers who supply parts (Modellers Loft being one of the biggest - 1/6 military fans will know them, although they stock large numbers of other collectables). I purchase parts from War Toys, One Sixth Depot and Battle Monkey, however postage costs can be very high.
There are a lot of collectors/modellers who will trade/sell parts. I have made a lot of friends buying, selling, swopping parts over the past few years.
So if anyone reading this has any 1/6 Great War, uniforms, equipment etc to trade do drop me a line.
I am currently looking at the African Campaign 1914-1918 and hope to get some 'guys' equipped shortly.
Sadly, we do not have a digital camera currently. This is on the shopping list and once we have it and have mastered the pictures and posting techniques I will load a few.
