Got my 5-7 day notice on the Bayonets and barb wire exclusive Red baron ace figure. This has been a tuff month on the old CC. But I like what it's going for.

Yep, I got the notice too. This month won't be nearly as bad as March will be for me. :slap

I think the next few month's are going to be tuff. What with 1/4 scale Vader, predator, Obi Wan, Grevious, Leia, then the 12 inch figures start coming! Oh well. I guess this is why we preorder, to wait for the stuff to show up all at once.

Yep, just got my shipping notice too. He should be here on Saturday. The only thing good about FedEx, they ship regular ground on Saturdays.

My Red Baron arrived today, and I must say that I am pleasantly surprised. I had passed on the first issue because I wasn't sure about the sculpt. As a rabid von Richthofen junkie, I felt that the BlitzkriegToys sculpt was closer to the mark. Also, a 12" figure was too tall( Manfred was 5"5").Well, he's still too tall, but I've changed my mind on the sculpt; it may not be better than the BT sculpt, but it's no worse, either. Neither is perfect, but they both get the point across. In fact, if I didn't know better( which I don't, actually) I'd almost suspect that the sculpt has been revised. As to the uniform and gear, only 1 complaint, and it's a general one aimed at the whole industry: When is someone going to do a decent leather flying helmet? This is about the best attempt so far, but it still needs work. Anyway, I give the new Red Baron a B+, and am glad I got it...PS

I just received mine today also. I'm very pleased with the paint application, it actually exceeds the prototype's. I love the flight goggles, by far one of the cooler accessories around. This figure just stands out from rest and draws your attention to it. I personally give this :woo :woo :woo out of 4.

I got mine yesterday at 9:30 PM!
Everything about the figure is great! Even though Sideshow used that F%#@'n Twisty Tie through the clothes again.
But I did notice today that his left breast pocket of his flight jacket is cut badly. he has a very small triangular piece cut out of the material of the jacket right where the top of the pocket starts.
I hate to send another figure back for a replacement (I just sent and received my GW figure).
Right now I have it covered by his scarf. Looking at the picture on the front of the box, his real jacket was very worn in, so maybe the slight flaw kinda works as wear?
Does anybody else have this cut on the front of their jacket?

Well I suppose this will be my first post where I have a complaint about FedEx. It was supposed to have arrived yesterday. According to their tracking system its still on the truck for delivery and on time! May be the truck was sucked into a time warp. God, I hope it shows up in 2006 and not 2106. I hope it does arrive Tuesday. Man and I bragged about FedEx.

Good Lord!! a miracle!!! Low and behold the Red Barron has arrived this morning leaning against the front door. At nine O'clock this morning He was there despite being told by FedEx on Saturday night that the package was on the truck and be delivered Tuesday, because they did not deliver in this area on Monday. I'm confused but happy.:banana

Screamingmetal; I just checked the pocket on mine, and I don't see any defects. As to the 'worn' look on the photo, remember that these guys were flying at least 2-3 times a day in open cockpits behind marginally cowled engines that were notorious for spraying all manner of nasty stuff as they ran( including parts of themselves!). Nothing like a steady stream of burnt castor oil to distress leather...PS

Thanks for checking Wax Murderer. I've come to except the tiny little flaw. It's not extremely noticeable without the scarf, but with it on in the right way you'd never know it was there.
Yeah it should look somewhat worn out from conditions.
It might be nice project to customize the jacket to look more worn in if I could find another parted out.
