Well, it looks like he sold his Seven of Nine Exclusive a few weeks ago at a loss of almost $100. Then he puts up a Gray Hulk for a one day auction with no reserve. Is the guy just nutty, or what? One negative feedback listed from somebody who's no longer a registered user, so it's hard to tell what that means. Only 56 auctions in almost four years means that he's not a professional scalper. This is just weird.

If you're going to sell your Gray Hulk, this doesn't seem like the way to go about it. Highly suspect, in my opinion. But if it's for real... Is somebody really going to get a Gray Hulk for $125?

He's already received positive feedback on the Seven of Nine PF! Weird I didn't think she was shipping yet :horror

In the Words of Admiral Ackbar - "It's a Trap!"

I have been watching this seller on and off for over a year now (No Im not some kinda stalker :horror )

In that time she (Andrea) has sold many pr-orders. I have seen her sell 2-3 General Grevious Ex, and about 2 Predator Maquette Exs to name but a few.

She claimed to be a distributor for SS, but I would have no way of knowing how many Exclusives these people actually have access to.

To be honest, I personally don't know which way this seller swings. genuine or scammer? I would advise anyone looking to buy, to get in touch and ask questions to test the water.

Looking at the feedback it looks like a boardmember Gondor59 had a successful buy from Andrea. I also recall her selling an AP Cave Troll a while back and sold to hpbogan which was also successful. It will be interesting to see how high this auction hits. If she didn't expect full payment I might consider bidding, but being that it doesn't ship until 2nd quarter (estimated at that) what are the chances of getting money back if it is a scam??

I think verry strange why so short auktion if wait longer more people will bid:confused:
and bigger chance to get more money.

Cause she needs the money right now..thats why ....

It must be dangerus to buy if need money now mabe she not have money to pay for the statue later to Sideshow.

This eBay sellers has sold quite a few exclusives, many at a loss. I don't buy preorders off eBay, so I would avoid at all costs.

HAHA. You obviously haven't been following the history of this seller. This girl sells 10 or more of EACH exclusive months/years before they are released. She's notorious as possibly the biggest scalper/scammer in the collectibles market. The auctions almost always end for below their price directly from SS. Do you think she might take the money and run? I'm going to answer myself and say YES!

Examples:

And believe me, this is just the tip of the iceberg, these types of listings go on with her day after day. I wish SS could cancel all of her orders.

There is only one Distributor for SS in the US and that is SS. Even if they are retailer like many of the dealers on the forum myself included. We are bound by the same rules on exclusives as anyone else. We pay full MSRP and if it’s limited to one per customer we only get one. I have been with SS for a quite awhile and I have thrown just about everything you can think of at them to try and get a break on exclusives and get more than one and nothing has worked. Cant blame a guy for trying but I can say with absolute certainty that this sell is loosing money when an exclusive is under MSRP. Unless that exclusive is a knock off which is something we should all keep watch on.

That's crazy. None of those auctions make sense. Why would you sell something at a loss that you haven't even paid for yet? Plus, how can you sell more than one of an item that is limited to one per account? The only way is if you're ripping people off. I don't see any way that this could be an honest seller, but if this person is notorious for this, then why haven't they received a ton of negative feedback and possibly been removed from Ebay by now? This thing has me totally bewildered...

then why haven't they received a ton of negative feedback and possibly been removed from Ebay by now?

Couldn't it be because the item ends up shipping wayyyy past the timeframe to leave feedback and the listing is gone. Still surprised they are able to sell on ebay items which won't be available for atleast three months.
Aren't pre-order items supposed to be within 30 days to list?

Remember that Ebay only allows feedback up to 90 days after the close of the auction. If most of her auctions ship months after the auction closes, then no feedback can be left, and no Paypal claim can be made. Seemingly the perfect crime...

Actually, I remember that Lynxje from this very forum preordered a Han 1/4 Exclusive from this seller for $300 or so almost exactly a year ago. That was back when people were paying big bucks for it, and I remember we had a similar discussion to what is going on with this Gray Hulk auction. I wonder if the Han Exclusive ever arrived? Perhaps Lynxje can chime in?

C'mon SS and cancel all of her orders. There can't be THAT many people in Tonganoxie, Kansas that have SS accounts. I just looked it up and there are only 3317 people in Tonganoxie. That will be funny if 10 Gray Hulks are all shipped to different addresses in Tonganoxie.

This person is committing the perfect crime! By the time the items start to (not) ship, it's too late to leave feedback, and probably too late to get a refund to your credit card. It's all starting to make sense to me now. This person must be dealt with. It's too bad they don't live near the person who ripped off Daveyjaro (read all about it...), or else we could think about getting a two-for-one deal with that hitman.

I just e-mailed as many of the bidders as I could and tried to warn them. Ebay limited the number of messages you can send, so I didn't get them all. I hope they don't let themselves get ripped off.

The listing can be reported and would probably be taken down. I can't believe that if people are getting scammed by this person that they haven't reported her pre-sale auctions as scams.

Directly taken from ebay's site:

Pre-sale listings are those that describe items for sale that are not in the control or possession of the seller at the time of the listing. These listings generally consist of items that are sold in advance of a delivery date to the public.

eBay permits pre-sale listings only on a limited basis. The seller must guarantee that the item will be available for shipping within 30 days from the date of purchase (i.e., the day the listing ends or the date the item is purchased from a store front listing). The seller must also clearly indicate within the listing the fact that the item is a pre-sale item with a delivery date that indicates the item will be shipped by the 30th day from the end date of the listing. Additionally, this text must be no less than the default font size of the eBay Sell-Your-Item form. Currently, the default font size is HTML font size 3.

Violations of this policy may result in a range of actions, including:

Listing cancellation
Limits on account privileges
Account suspension
Forfeit of eBay fees on cancelled listings
Loss of PowerSeller status
Referral to Law Enforcement

Did I hear my name?

I did order a Han Exclusive from her 11 months ago (damn, time flies...) and indeed so far this item has not been shipped. I asked her about this 2 weeks ago and she said she was still waiting for it to arrive. I've emailed her again earlier today but no answer yet. I will keep people here updated on any progress (allthough everything I read here isn't very comforting)......
