That was really good! Sort of an Iron Giant meets War of the Worlds. The CGI damn near rivals some of ???? Hollywood has been pumping out lately.

This is why I hate and discriminate against all robots. The silver metallic ones, the flat gun metal ones, the bronze ones, the old and rusty ones, the mark III ones, all of 'em.

that was great, and now with the movie deal we might just see more.

It's cool but other than effects there is nothing else, I really don't see why any hollywood studio would sign this guy up, his editing isn't very good, it's just a bunch of effects.

I thought it was pretty cool, I love the 28 Days Later song too.

It doesn't cost anything if you aren't paying for people's time, plus not counting the hardware, one piece of software costs like $3,000, or his computer, or video camera.

Again, the effects are good but nothing else is, it would land him a job in a visual effects studio but this doesn't make him a good director.

Nice find. It's a pretty slick little video. So it seems it was basically used as a demo reel?

No this video doesn't mean he's a good director, but it doesn't mean he's a a bad one either. I wouldn't say the video is really enough to go on. Yeah, he put together a nice short attention-grabbing video (demo reel) which would be akin to putting together a resume or portfolio for the rest of us. So at least he can do that. It got him a job, so good for him. Maybe he'll excel and maybe he won't, but at least he'll get the chance to give it a shot which is the point, and it's all any of us can really ask for when it comes to any job we want.
