Hey Everyone,
I am Rugby1970 and I posted a few times before the forum made the shift to this new board. I have been collectiong Sideshow for years now... I think the small scale Dracula action figure was my first piece. I quickly got onto the Lord of the Rings polystone line once my budget allowed it.
I have to say that Sideshow is hands down the best producer of Film and Comic related collectibles. It sounds like I'm sucking up but my list of pre-orders and the stuff I have on my sheves speak for themselves.
My prized pieces are my Balrog and Cave Troll which I ordered when they were first available. I remember Balrog being one of the first big pre-order pieces and I set all my alarms so that I could order it as soon as it became available. I used a dial up connection and had no problems getting the piece. Boy, how times have changed.
The universal monster 12" line is one of my favorite series... the boxes with the movie posters are beautiful and I cannot bring myself to open them! Great pieces of art!
I'm a big Lord of the Rings fan and really love the look of the new 1/4 scale line... Lurtz in armor has been a dream of mine since i first saw the polystone version that was never produced.
Can't wait to post more on the forums!
Oh, by the way... I have been admiring the Marvel line from afar... I almost pulled the trigger on Doom but it was Spidey and Hulk that finally got me to by into this line! Well done Sideshow!
