I have a choice a 1/6 SS Stormtrooper, SS Sandtrooper, SS Indy or a SS 1/6 Jabba the Hut with no box. Please help me choose. And explain why.

Jabba if you plan on getting the throne later. He is the only one I have left, he is just too awesome to sell. I think the throne adds alot to the way he displays. If you are not gonna consider a throne, I would go storm trooper. You can't go wrong with a Stormie.

However, if they are all that close, here would be a couple of factors for me.
Not a fan of Indy, so that rules him out. If the spending $$ is equal, get Jabba. I'd rather have a $300 figure for $100, than $100 fig for $100. The other 2 will come down eventually. Between the 2 troops, I'd get the new Sandy (more accessories). To have Stormtroopers, I'd rather have the Luke/Han set later. You'd get 2 better head sculpts for the regular versions. Then just put a post for the heads. You'd have 2 Stormies (more=better) and their armor is glossy (better than the regular version). That's a good problem to have!!

I'll cast my vote for Indy. He's a nice standalone character and figure with lots of accessories. With the stormies and Jabba, you kinda need the context of the SW universe. They work better with other SW figures around to anchor them. On the other hand, someone like Vader could probably exist on a shelf by himself and you don't feel like anything's missing--like Indy!

Agreed. It's not as if any of these are going to skyrocket in value or anything.
Jabba is not a $300 figure -- he retails for $120. But he is an excellent figure if you like Jabba. In some ways, he's the best standalone figure if you don't plan to collect a lot of other Star Wars figures.

Personally Jabba the Hut is too big and ugly but still cool. I love the indie films but not enough to want a fig of him atm. I have 6 SS Stormtroopers and i love em, and im getting a load of SS Sandtroopers as well. Go with what you fancy getting the most thats always the best bet. For me its stormtroopers/sandies cos they are cool and ive loved Star Wars since i was a kid.

(I'd buy another Stormie too, but only cos I've got all the others, and the wolfs right, can't have too many troopers!

Stormies are great there is no real argument. Yes Jabba is fab but sormtrooper says Star Wars to me... I would have loads, nearly as many as the 35 that Cbob has.. ow wait he's ordered Sandies too, how many did he order... was it 5 or 10 of them?

Ooooh! Now there's a can of worms!
I'd say:
Marmit - For the best look. (If you can find one, and swap the body out).
Medicom - if you want posability (But their short and bust easy)
Sideshow - For price and availabilty (If you can live with floppy body, matt paint)
Note: I know I said swap the body on the Marmit so same should apply to SS, but I haven't managed to find a body to fit Ss armour - that I'm happy with, tried TT slim, didn't like it.

I really think that which Stormtrooper you go for is such a personal thing.
For me I am a medicom fan, not because they are the best, or most screen accurate or any other reason than I just like em!
All mine are on TTSlim bodies, with SS trooper hands (Thanks to CBob) and some have SS feet to.

Well all mine are medicom. I have a SS but he has been decommissioned!! LOL I don't have a marmit to compare them to but most folks love their marmits. A friend is kindly sending me a marmit AT-AT driver for a powerdroid I made her ages ago and I am really excited about that.
As for your choice... what figures have you got so far. I know you said you have got a ss vader coming. Also I would think about how much you time you want to spend working on the figure.
I think straight out the box then Marmit (but they are v rare)
Medicom, need new TT slim body and hands (which make then v expensive with the new bod and hands)
Sideshow need the most work, but so many folks think it is worth it and they have the most potential.....
If I was just starting to collect 1/6th Star Wars, and I could do the customizing needed I would go SS.
Saying all that I still love my medicoms... LOL and would happily buy any ones that folks dont want

Only get Jabba if you plan on getting the throne later as well. And Indy is good but he's not great (but you can get him with a gift card now so he is even cheaper) but I would go with the Stormtrooper. No Star Wars collection can be complete without one.
