Not sure if this is the place to put this, but I figured that the customizing jobs I've seen in here are so good that this might be a good place to start.

I have a Star Wars IG-88 bust and the gun has broken. Would anyone in here be able to fix it for me if I sent it to them?

Like I said, I don't know if this is the right place or not. :)

Post a pic of the broken gun. Ever heard of super glue? :D

Super glue?? What's that? I've never heard of that because I live in a van down by the river.

Actually, I've already tried that to no avail.

And superglue didn't work huh, what type are you using and what happened when you tried it?

I was using "Instant Krazy Glue".

For some reason the glue cause too much "lubrication", causing the handle to slide too much when I was trying to get it attached.

Try lightly sanding the pieces you want to connect so that the glue will have something to grab onto. And don't use so much. A drop shold suffice. Hold it in place for thirty seconds, then leave it alone for at least an hour. If that doesn't work, I've got nothin'. :o

I would use the gel kind as it is almost already set up when you push it out of the tube. Apply it to a toothpick and use the tip or the toothpick to apply it to the gun to make sure you dont use to much. Make sure you hold it like mentioned for a decent amount of time to let it bond.

For what it's worth, I know IG88 is Gentle Giant but here's Sideshow's take on repairs...

LOOK HERE (http://www.sideshowtoy.com/cgi-bin/category.cgi?category=021105poly)

Hope it helps.

Also, in case you're not aware, a brand new IG88 bust can be had for around $40 shipped or less. It would probably cost you almost half that in round trip shipping alone if you sent it to someone for repair.

The glue sounds the best option, just a very tiny amount, as it may cause a degradation of the area where spillage or excess is apparent.

I can't really add anything more, other than to try drilling a small, very small, hole and inserting a pin, or just the tip, pointy end out, and seeing if you can force it into the other piece.

I would recommend Zap-a-Gap. Stuff is great but watch out!! In my experience it adheres and sets VERY quickly!!
