Then again, I'm sure other toy companies have made decent representations of these guys. They aren't too hard to do. Can't see myself spending 300 bucks on these guys based on that.

I think Woody and Buzz are actually more like 12" figures so PFs would actually be bigger. 1:1 Replicas would be really cool, and I might prefer those, but I think I like the idea of PFs a little bit more. But I go back and forth on that.

Galactiboy makes a great point. I'm all for high end quality replicas of Buzz and Woody, but technically speaking the toys are 1:1 replicas. All you would need to recreate the scene in which Woody is repaired and cleaned by the "cleaner", is a 19.99 Woody doll, a plexi 12" case and a figure stand from Michael's. A you can tell, I've given this some thought but have not gotten around to it. Yet.

I just got back from Target and they have a brand new Toy Story section. Everyone probably knows about this but they have a brand new Buzz that retails for 49.99. It's by Thinkway and it's awesome! the shelf label says "definitive TS" in which case I'm hoping that this is a new line and all the main cast gets the definitive treatment. The box looks like it did in the first Toy Story in the shape of a Star command spaceship. 65 phrases, moving head, lights, pop up wings, forearm laser, this Buzz has all the bells and whistles, truly a definitive Buzz. It comes with a COA and is labeled as a toy prop replica on the back of the box!

I will be getting this next time I see him! I would much prefer a toy prop replica than a static statue.

**Dammit I am late to the game!! There's already a Woody, RC, claw machine aliens and a Rex!

personally i think sideshow should really, really do toy story stuff. it makes total sense with the new film next year.
the film is loved by people of all ages, my 3 year old son is toy story mad so i for one would have no choice but to buy anything sideshow made.

I'm tempted to get Woody. Buzz is cool, but I don't know if I would get him or not. Most likely if I get Woody, I'll get Buzz as well. I've never been good at limiting myself.
