I've been "just a little freaky" on these boards for ahwile now. I read the threads and occasionally post....usually something not thought out and not proof read.
I've seen posts for a while now from people wanting figures from this 'Verse. I love Buffy and Angel, but Firefly was something I had never had a chance to experience. Until the movie...
When I saw the movie, I was stunned. It was brilliant. It was like Episode 4 of Star Wars; wit, action, characters you care about. But looking back, i still didn't "get" it.
I'm 6 episodes into Firely and now it's personal. I need firefly figures. NEED them. I can't customize for crap but I've been scowering online for custom Mal heads. I'm willing to sculpt it myself if I have to. and that's a dangerous thing to do. My past custom jobs usually end with me having bloody hands. So get that license SSC! save my fingers!! J

lol just reread my post...the bloody hands is from carving...nothing too creepy

Your definately not alone there. Serenity figures are a must. I dont think they can come from Firefly becasue Fox still owns the rights or something.

PLEEEASE.

I'd hate to see Firefly/Serenity rights get bogged down in studio rivalry. I'd be curious as to who does have the merchandising rights to the characters. The current action figures are under the "Serenity" banner, but that doesn't necessarily mean that Fox couldn't license "Firefly" to SSC.

that would be fine with me! I'm not going to get my hopes up though. It seems like we'd have had them by now if we were gonna get them. So...anyone got any spare Nathan Fillion custom heads laying around?

Never say never, Buffy the series was over and done with when SSC announced they were continuing the line. So depending if DVD sales of Serenity do well and it remains in the zeitgeist, I think there's still a chance for them to pick up the license.

Yeah, they also waited til well after Angel was canceled to start that line, so you never know.

Has anybody heard any numbers when it comes to Serenity's DVD take so far? I don't know where to look.

I thought I heard somewhere Serenity sold 3rd best last week...Sorry that doesn't help much. it's also potentially very wrong. J
