I just heard a rumor that Medicom is going to release a Blade figure under their RAH line.
Anybody else hear anything about this??

You mean this one? It seems like he might come with a Blade DVD box set, but I'm sure someone else will know for sure.

yep that is one hell of a nice looking figure. I dont even like blade that much but its tempting, I love the style because its a 'comic version' and I can think of a afew things id use those clothes and accessories for...but maybe I should just miss it, and not go there

He looks pretty simplistic. Where's his vest?

But that's not the comic version of Blade, but the movie version.
If it is a pack-in with a DVD box set I can see them skimping on his outfit, but if it's as expensive as the other Medicom Marvels, I'd expect him to be as detailed as possible.

Yeah, that's a comic Blade, not a movie Blade.
After the 1st film came out, they changed his look in the comics to be similar, and this is what the figure is based on.

I believe this version is based on the Bart Sears Blade. It sure looks like his Blade.
It's nice but I already have my blade figure. I took the very excellent head off the Marvel version and put it on a dragon body, then switched over most of his clothes. The vest may need to be remade and the sword as well, but it still looks like a great figure, and it didn't cost me $200.
I might put it on a newer Hot Toys body if I can find a spare Apone cheap.

I stand corrected. Since he's not the movie version I don't have to get him! Yay!!!

So my dealer says it will be part of a DVD box set and will run Y24,150 or about $225.00.

Box set with DVD's and an action figure? I don't expect anyone here would be interested in that, wink wink, nudge nudge.
I like the basic style of the figure. Does look like Bart Sears. I think I might try to get one. It's just, you know, $225.00 and I can't even play the DVD's on my player. Well I can watch them on my computer. I'd like to see the packaging art when it's available. That really would have a lot to do with whether I do go the extra mile ot try and buy one of these.

Now my dealer tells me that this DVD set would run upwards of $290. That makes it a bit easier to pass on, even though I could play the DVDs. And it isn't being sold by Medicom, but by the DVD distributor.

Wow. Well, screw that idea. Just as well, I'm buying way too much stuff lately anyway.
