I hope everyone is all set for the holidays, with their shopping done. I went by the mall after work, and I swear I was lucky to leave there with my life.

Tonight's review is of the latest sixth scale warrior from Ignite - the Roman Vexillarious. Remember the guy with the goofy goat helmet? This guy does far better in his choice of head wear, donning a dead animal skin. There's all the usual die cast weapons and museum quality clothes as well. You can find all the reviews at the usual:

Voting for the People's Pick Awards will be wrapping up at the end of next week, so don't forget to vote! Have a safe and happy holiday weekend, and thanks for reading!

Good review. Although I think that plastic animal skin is a bit weak. I've been getting all of these, but the soft sculpts and loose joints is really disappointing. Also the re-use of costume and accessories makes it difficult to buy each $65 figure.

But I'm looking forward to the General - looks like he has a lot of new pieces.

Yeah I have a problem with the plastic Wolf skin too. It just doesn't look right. I was thinking of making one from a 1/6 scale wolf scull with a rabbit pelt you can buy at the local hobby store, cut to fit and glued over the scull. It might work if I can find a 1/6 wolf head or scull to use. Might have to make that item out of clay from scratch. It would be a lot of work to get right but ultimately has to look better then a plastic wolf pelt. :o

Thanks Dave. I do remember seeing it now. The helmet is awful so I hope they change that, but the rest looks excellent!

Still think SS could "would" make a better line of Romans. Could have been a great addition to Live by the Sword. Too bad. I don't buy junk. They look well, junky.
