Is there a story behind this? As in, what does that beat up costum represent?

Excellent custom!
At first I thought "why is his costume so beat up", but when the pics of him in his new TDK suit came it made sense. Even Batman is sentimental about his old possessions and keeps them in a shrine.

Although I'm sick to death of Batman and Joker stuff, this my friend is a Masterpiece. That closet with battle damaged suit is amazing!!!

batman has a new suit....it looks like the alex ross's batman scene...when he looked up his back and got so many scars on him....and this one is closer to representation that..but just on the suit...bravo..

It reminded me of the spiderman movie scene, "spiderman.. no more". So he should dress wayne in his business suit
