You made a doll of Trash (Linnea Quigley) and the tar zombie from Return of the Living Dead. That's great.

let's see I've bben off line for a while so here goes:
-Yeah the Bloodrayne was made from a Dragon Abbey Chase I had laying around. I sculpted the hair and made my own outfit, but recently picked up one of the Triad Toys versions of the suit. The Blades are made from plastic VHS tape rental cases.
-Return of the Living Dead is definately a top favorite in the horror movie genre of mine. After getting e-mailed from Linnea Quigley after seeing a pic of the first attempt at the Trash figure, I decided to re-do the whole figure and sculpted the Tar-Man with magic sculpt some torn up 1/6 scale clothes and lotsa gloss sealer.
-Definately had to change Conner MacLeod's shirt back to white after adding the facial stubble, but to tell the truth I don't know where it came from. After kitbashing and custom making figs for a couple years it was just laying around.
-The Indiana Jones figures were my first customs. The Indy figure is mostly the Relic Hunter figure from China. The body is a Dragon figure and the head is from Frontline/Hero Heads. The whip and web belt are from Sovereign Studios. Dr. Jones is a Dragon figure with a custom head sculpt from Sovereign Studios, the outfit was made by a customizer who had an Indy figure site a few years ago.

Thank you sooo much Lin for that DVD!!! It has helped me in ways you cannot imagine. I was feeling so stuck and having hard times with skin tones and eyes.... Now, with the help you have given me, I can finally remedy this and get my painting to the level it should be.
You are too cool for this, and for all the help you've given me. You are a true friend and you rock beyond belief. :rock
Thanks dude...

never a problem, just wish I had someone helping me when I first started customising figures. Would've saved me a crap load of cash. No, really though anything you need help or questions you have feel free. Hopefully I'll be posting a how to customise a figure very soon, featuring my custom David from the Lost Boys I'm working on.

Actually what I turned DA onto is the ModelMania video series with David Fisher. I'm sure you can find it on VHS on amazon. David is one of the best at painting resin and vinyl model kits, most of which are in 1/6 scale so it transfers over to 12" figures perfectly. And as I'm working on my Lost Boys custom I'm trying to take as many pictures as possible for a kind of How to post, coming soon.

OK I finally got a new camera and was practicing with it last night, so ...hopefully anyway.. here's some better pics with some close up of some of the details.
First is a touch up of the Myers figure, I wanted a dirty look to the mask, recolored the hair a proper brown and colored the top lip a shade darker than the mask so it would stand out more.

Yeah I made Lestat and Louis from the hero heads sculpt, sanded off all the hair and re sculpted the long hair with magic sculpt. I think if you go back to page one there's a full pic of the Lestat figure. Thanks for the comments, all are appreciated.

actually most of the Dr. Jones Sr. figure was made from a resculpted Connery head, I'm not even sure which one anymore. I think I got it from SHawn at Sovereign Studios like 7 years ago. The outfit was from this guys site again like 7 or 8 years ago.

Yeah just let me know I may still have some extra clothing sets laying about. If I could find someone to recast the heads I might even consider that. I've tried some recasts in the past and most turned out pretty horrible.

I've wanted to work on these and have these guys in my collection a while and Ada Chan recently sculpted these two heads. I've been quite in the custom world for a year or two and figured I'd better finish all the projects I have laying about so I (hopefully) will be posting more customs soon. This project will be a while working on and I have no idea how detailed I will get in the costuming. I still have to shorted Marty's legs up a bit, but anyway here's a quick sneak peek, let me know what you guys think.

dude, Marty McFly looks awesome!!!!!! His head sculpt and paint apps are perfect.
There is something a bit off on Doc though... i think it may be the eyes... still looks great though, just not as perfect as McFly.

I believe it was a suit from Saturday Toys, I'll double check though
