The Church Sandman picture from the movie site proved that one, and I have no doubts about Venom...

yeah. Sandman's a lock, and I hope Venom is too. Although Im not sure about the actor chosen, I'll keep an open mind til I see the finished product.

AICN's still claims that their "reliable source" insists the other villan is Electro last I read. Which would stay true to Raimi's love for the classic characters.

In the end, I'd be happy with either Venom or Electro. Cant wait to see the Sandman special efx.

Again......Venom is too complex of a character to include another villain. If they are to do Venom........it should be a hint to him at the end........flowing into part 4 with all of part 4 dedicated to a good character build. Electro & Sandman are 2 good 2 bit criminals that they can build a movie around. With each villain not being strong enough to have a full movie to focus around them. If they did make a single movie about them, it would be to the likes of saying that they are as good of characters as the Green Goblin.......who only got a movie to himself. I happen to like the Sprider-man franchise so far.......I like the first Batman, which drastically went down the tubes until this past year. I would hate to see them try to throw 2, 3 and even 4 villains into a movie at a time and have any sort of backstory with the villains. Lets remember that at the end of number 2, we had an intro to the Hobgoblin. That makes a potential of 3 villains.

But the Hobgoblin storyline hasn't even played out yet, so that would have to be dealt with first right? :confused:

You could say that about the Dr. Conner's storyline also. There are enough villains in Spidey's Rogue gallery that I don't see any reason to rush back to the Goblins. I kind of like seeing cameos from people of importance in Parker's story, like the Lizard and Man-wolf before they get to their ultimate fates. Kind of humanizes them, deepens the backstory.
