I got a shipping notice for the GG C3pO statue from Marc and was searching for some pics when I came across those in a japanese site, don't know if you seen it already but anyway it has a very nice size comparison with the Chewbacca statue, and also with 2 attakus pieces.
I was impressed with the C3PO size, is the Wookiee really so tall ? I know that he is two-meter-plus tall but the droid looks so small next to him...I dunno :dunno

It also has that picture of a Boba Fett statue next to the GG C3Po and Chewie statues and a crappy Solo action fig. I'm not sure if it's the GG Boba Fett, but I wish it was, it looks awesome.

Size matters not, he's still a wonderful piece...the threepio statue, I mean. :rock Although he does look smaller in comparison, the same could be same said for the balrog when positioned next to the GTG statue. :D
You made a good choice, Rod, in getting that one. :) I cannot fault the GG line, apart from the limbless brigade of 2002. :p

According the the Star Wars site, Chewbacca's just under 7 1/2 feet and C-3PO is just under 5 1/2 feet, so it looks like the statues are to scale. I just got the Chewie statue yesterday. It's bigger than I expected. Now I just need to order the C-3PO statue.

I got the Chewie and it's nice but I don't think it was necessary to put C-3PO on his back. :dunno

Fritz I agree it kind of throws it off with C3PO standing there Next too chewie. Since it just sits on his back in pegs though he doesnt really have to be there.

The Boba fett is a old vinyl model kit made by ??? (sorry don't remember:doh ). Its 1/6 scale and has awesome detail. You have to build and paint this one yourself. The one pictured has a fantastic paint job on it. Mine not so good :rolleyes
Fortunatly its easily stripped and re-painted. I wonder if Rick will do it for me??? Hmmm......... Hello Rick? :naughty

Thanks for the explanation Greedo. I also have took out the c3pO from the back of my Chewie, it doesn't look right with a full C3Po statue next to him and also it isn't golden plated , so it looks odd.

I watched ESB recently and he's pretty dirty when he gets shot by the stormtrooper, so I think his paint job is accurate. Regardless, that's a good idea about removing him from Chewie if you have a C-3PO statue. I'm going to do that as well when I get one.

Did the same to my Chewie:wave

Has anyone heard about GG having any plans to do a Han Solo statue to go along with the Chewie one?

They will eventually do it, but nothing has been announced until now.

That Han figure looks odd; I think his face is not quite right. The lips, that's it!:puke

I agree. Both Han busts (original and the one with stormtrooper disguise) desn't have a good likeness to Harrison Ford, I hope the third try, which will be the statue, succeeds. But I won't get none of the busts .

Yeah I don't like the Han busts either, but that new Chewie statue is incredible, so I'm really hoping that when GG do a Han statue that the third time is the charm.
At the moment (only counting stuff that's actually seen released already) I still think the best Han likeness is on the Unleashed figure actually, though Sideshow's looks pretty damn good in the pics, and looked even better on the webcam during the recent fantacular, so if the final production piece is as good as the proto looks then that should top it. We shall see...
