I'm not really digging Apocalypse (mainly the colors) which sucks cause he was my most anticipated MU figure for 2011. I was hoping for his more classic look. I saw a pic of the Jim Lee Cyclops on another forum and he looks great as does the Masterworks Sentinel. I wonder if that Wolverine comes with him?

think that wolverine is from the giant size x-men boxed set. Although at the next SDCC they will be selling Sentinel and the variant. Hasbro might do the same thing they did with Galactus and have special packaging for retail, and carded for collectors. Wolverine seems like a likely pack-in choice.

Looks like the tru ML 2 pack is already trickling out. Ebay already has them for crazy prices. Winter Soldier looks good with both heads, and I say that the original Deadpool still looks baddass compared to the new ones. But like I said I'll still hunt for both versions.

I now need to catch up with the MU Secret Wars 2 packs. I'm really picky this time around and just buy the SW 2 packs and all the Captain America single packs and Winter Soldier, I still did not find a Bucky. Oh, and I also got those walmart 12" exclusive Skrull vs Captain (Bucky) America and Giantman/Ironman 2 packs.

Looks like they are stepping up with the sculpts on the MU line, very tempting to collect all.

I didn't even know there was a phasing Vision, I did find a Yellow Jacket once. The factory missed painting his lower face flesh tone and it was a dirty brown (bare plastic) color.

As far as I can remember, most of the 2nd series has shown up at Canada retail (mostly walmart), however it is very scarce (like 1-2 cases tops).

I have 2 full sets of every Marvel Universe. Then I have those doubles shown in the pics (5-6 Thors that I wanna get rid of etc). And I think I have the Thanos Wave case of 12 packed, and 3 other unopened cases with extras.

I decided to cross the border to my collector-friendly U.S. Wal-Mart and pick up one (as well as the best-- I think--) of the movie Thor offerings. They've been sitting there for over two weeks (another Frost Giant and the Goliath with android Thor)... It's nice to live on the border with a Wal-Mart that's practically invisible to all collectors AND with the current strength of the Can. dollar. :wink1:

Got my Crossbones and Red Skull in the mail today. I have to say, they are both amazing figures. It was annoying paying a premium for them, but to be honest I'm just glad I got them now.

I never thought much of Crossbones one way or another until Brubaker's excellent run on Cap (actually, that made me a huge Cap fan too) but he's a great villain in my eyes now. And his sculpt is really great. Tons of detail make him a standout in my eyes.

Wave 2 of the Thor series is supposed to be on it's way to me from HTS. I mostly wanted the Warrior's Three, the Destroyer and a helmeted Thor. Which would only leave me Sif, Heimdall, Lafey and the Ice Claw Frost Giant to get from that line.

Silver Samurai is an example of a character that I have no particular affinity or connection to but that makes me NED to buy it because it just looks so darn cool. It's such a well executed figure.

Deadpool and Taskmaster are amazing. I am a little annoyed at how tall Taskmaster's neck is but I understand why they did it and overall it looks okay. Everything else is top notch. I love how many accessories they both come with and the fact that you can pretty much store every weapon not in use on them!

It's weird, figures 1 - 11 all under the movie banner and only 2 movie figures - Cap and Red Skull. The rest are all Comic, and one Concept.

This is the first Marvel line I'm going semi-completist on but I always thought there was more of a mixture. This is mainly comic. I'm not complaining, I love Cap so I'll get Deep Dive Cap or whatever they throw at me. :)

All in all, with the addition of these characters, I have to say I'm really liking this line. Destroyer is a bit disappointing, though. It's not bad, but the transparent head is a very odd choice. I may pick up the rotocast version if I can to use with these figures.

I was happy to be rid of the gimmick weapons, though I actually liked Hogun's enough I thought I'd give it to Odin since he is without a normalish looking weapon. I really like the Frost Giants though! I hope the Ice Claw and Laufey come out.

The story you're talking about already started a few weeks back. It's just a small crossover with Steve Rogers and the X-Men fighting Blastaar. Human Torch doesn't factor into it. I agree Torch will probably be back in time for Fantastic Four #600, but that will happen in Hickman's series, not elsewhere.

Finally completed a team in MU! And it's... the Dark Avengers! I didn't think that'd be the first team I'd complete, to be honest... and really, it's not totally complete if you count Noh-Varr and Ares, but they joined later in the series.

I managed to complete them by finally getting the Dark Avengers Ms. Marvel (Karla Sofen aka Moonstone.) I wish I could say I found her at retail but there have been no new MU figures in my area since before Christmas still. So I got her on Ebay. I have to say she's a very cool figure. I like the metallic paint job

The Bucky Cap in the movie wave is a totally new sculpt and I think it's MUCH better than the Giant Battles one that came out under the MU banner. The only problem is he needs a proper shield (which I stole from my MU Bucky Cap.)

The one that came with the Giant-Man was just a quick and dirty repaint of that same chunky buck body they used for Daredevil, Bullseye, Vision, and several dozen other characters. The one in the 2-pack is the same as this single-pack version, only with a non-metallic paint job.

Personally, I always felt the paint job on the first Bucky Cap was sloppy when I saw it in the store. But maybe it varies from figure to figure.

I just hate that body in all its variations. The torso is too wide and the abdomen looks like it's about half the height it needs to be. I realize the early MU waves were a learning experience for Hasbro, but I don't see why they kept reusing the sculpt until very recently. The same with Wolverine. I don't understand why they kept reusing the same overly large X-Force Wolverine body and only this year started switching to the X-Men Origins: Wolverine sculpts instead.

I don't think it's an exclusive. It's only just now hitting stores, though, which is probably why you haven't seen one. There's also one with a Steve Rogers Cap and Winter Soldier. All they're really doing with these is repackaging some of the new Cap figures with the obligatory reprint comic and a better slate of accessories.

The one without Hope is a running change, like when they altered Iron Fist's chest logo from yellow to black in later waves. That technically makes it the variant. Yep, the one with Hope will be more rare. I do wonder why they aren't including her with future figures. I guess because it's so storyline specific? It's just odd as the figure comes with both chest pieces so you can make him "Hope-less" either way.

Good news for Canadians. The X-Men First Class 2 packs are available at Toys R Us. Also the Giant Size X-Men Anniversary packs are mostly variants. Havent found one regular.

I'm not sure why anyone would want that Storm variant enough to pay $30 for it. I get what they were trying to do as far as capturing Dave Cockrum's art, but the effect doesn't do much for me.

If anyone interested there is an iPod app that has the checklist of all the Marvel legends, marvel select, marvel universe and secret wars. It also has the pictures and the variants. There Is a list that you can check the box so you know what you own, how much you own and what you need to get. Pretty cool, I just downloaded it and never knew how much figures they made .

Walked into a store today and they had Scarlett Spider, Scarr, Dr. Strange and the Falcon, but no Dr. Doom. Strange (Sorry for the pun), but they had four of the clear variants of Strange, but not a single color one. Has anyone else run into this? Is the color version going to be the variant?

Awesome find. As far as I know the clear version of Strange is the variant. This might end up being like Vision though, the color version is harder to get than the clear version.

Limited articulation is pretty par for the course with the larger figures. I don't really mind since they at least look better than the standard-size ones.

Sad story, I want Thanos, but I can’t find him anywhere so I go to EBay and pay double to triple retail for him. Three or Four months later when his assortment is old I decide I want a second to put up un-opened. Again, had to go to EBay and again pay double to triple for him then I would have retail. That was two weeks ago, the other day my wife and I walk into a Target and there are two hanging on the peg, DAM.

So my question is do most of you wait to see if you can find a figure eventually or do you go ahead and pay more to get it now to have it, regardless of if you’ll find it later or not.

As for me it’s been 50-50, I’ve had what I mentioned above happen before, but I’ve also never seen some characters on the pegs at a retail store at all.

In the past with Marvel Legends I'd occasionally go on eBay if I had trouble finding a highly-desired figure, but I wouldn't pay significantly more than retail. I'm not really as engaged in this line, so if I can't find a figure I want I just wait until I do. Luckily, the figures I wanted most (Modern Thor, Extremis Iron Man, Bucky Cap) have all been pretty easy to find.
