Huh I was thrilled with the quality of the Maisto one. I'll look up this ERTL though out of curiosity.

If you have some money to spend, don't miss the chance, totally worth it. :rock

So I added something to my Terminator display that I have been trying to acquire for some time at a good price :yess:

250501

250502

Its a Franklin Mint diecast Harley 1:10 police bike for my T-1000 motorcycle cop. Its not the same model bike as the one from the movie, but it looks close enough for me.

Here are a few pics of it on the shelf along with the rest of my display:

Hi all, recently bought 4 of the regular release Endo... is it just mine or if the jaw hinge on these really, really fragile and loose.?
All mine have jaws hanging open. Just looking at the Toys R us version, it seems to have more pronounced white teeth and jaw clench.
Is this the better version to get?. I was really disappointed with the ones I got. I know it's a brittle sculpt but nature, but hinges are popping of by themselves.

Hmmm... Are you talking about the clamshell ones or the boxed reissue?

If they are clamshell and you bought them new- Was it from ebay? A seller in China? If so, it is likely one of the many NECA knockoffs being sold there. Which would account for the lower quality.

The auction shown here is likely a NECA knockoff-

https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/261964659350

There are a lot of them going around. If you get it from China and it costs around $20, it is a good bet that it isn't legit. It seems they mostly knockoff the early figures in the line (first version Endo, Pescadero T-1000, etc).

Sounds like the infamous cranky old man endoskeleton. I'm not at home so can't check but the most recent Endo doesn't have an articulating jaw as I recall.

This is the one you would ideally want

That is the original release of this particular endoskeleton but the same figure has been rereleased in other packaging since then.

I don't think NECA themselves are above putting out endoskeletons with wonky loose jaws so I can well believe they are authentic NECA figures, but unfortunate that commandernarra may not have been aware of the better figure that exists.

This was NECA's first Endo release as part of the T2 line, the one being mentioned.

251552

Then they released and improved version with the T1 and this one is scarce and often pricey if you come by it, many sellers with Endos are often the T2 cuz they're stuck with it. I was lucky to get a T1 for cheap late in the game.

251553

Finally, this is the most recent release which I believe is the same as the T1, but not certain.

I agree. I only mentioned that it may be a bootleg because that first release should be pretty long gone from most places at the retail price point... except the rash of Chinese knockoffs. Most places where you see it for sale at $20 list their location as China.

I am really surprised NECA still has the original release up for sale this far out from its release.

If you bought it off the NECA eBay store, it could be that they found some old inventory in a warehouse that they were looking to clear out, and that's how an old version would still be sold today.

Just finally picked up the new Terminator Genysis T-800 Pops figure and it's definitely An awesome piece. I was planning on making a review but no need honestly. Quick pic below and it is an improvement over the Guardian version especially in the head. No freaky eyes. Also to add the arm swapping is tough as **** and cannot seem to get it but overall nice figure and if you display him he's a bit top heavy. Mine seems to want to fall if not balanced right.

It's the Maisto 1:10 Harley Davidson 1999 FLSTF Fat Boy. I got it in an ebay auction. And yes it can be unscrewed from the base (which it is in my second pic above)

Others recommend a different one mentioned on a previous page but I'm perfectly happy with this one.

I'll say one positive about the older T-1000 figure, if you got one without wonky legs it really nailed Robert Patrick's ''walk'' (aswell as his proportions). The walk just can't really be replicated with the new figure with that diaper and the shorter legs. And a basic standing pose doesn't evoke the character very well, particularly not the way the arms splay outwards from the body - he looks like he's in a western. I can easily see why NECA went for the walking pose first time out.

I would now say that I'd prefer the older figure overall if it hadn't been an absolute QC nightmare. The darker shade of the outfit is better too.

It's strange too. If you search on ebay you can easily find real saddlebags that look exactly like the ones in the movie but for whatever reason no one seems to have made them for collectible model bikes. Are they specially licensed or something? Anyway, look forward to seeing your custom ones.

A John with dirtbike would be cool. I had an argument with Diamond Select last night about the t shirt graphics on their Mallrats figures. NECA better do the Public Enemy design if they do make him. I like that they are making more of these characters, because I'm a big Cameron fanboy (84-94 only) and these figures are really exciting to me.

They just announced they are making Newt from Alien (shows willingness to delve into younger characters), and they heavily alluded to major things incoming for T2 products this fall. So I think it's a safe bet to say yes.

Newt is pretty much official, they posted a teaser and Carrie Henn herself was twittering about it. So it shows that NECA deems Newt important enough therefore John Connor from T2 is definitely important enough. Possible obstacles - Edward Furlong refusing and the Public Enemies logo on the T-shirt.

Looking good! Already better than anything else. Maybe slightly too curved at the bottom and the top flap on the real saddlebags is like a lid that covers the sides too but very nice job. Nothing else I've seen looks even remotely close.

Yeah, I don't see them making a Newt but no John Connor. That'd be nuts. Randy was always saying how kids don't sell well, how female characters don't sell well. Well if you're making a Newt, I don't see why you wouldn't make John Connor.

Here's what I'm thinking we'll see this year,

- Ultimate Tech Noir T-800 (duh)
- Ultimate Police Shootout T-800
- Ultimate Motorcycle Cop T-1000
- Ultimate Steel Mill/Battle Damaged T-800
- Ultimate John Connor

- 1/4 Steel Mill T-800

At that point, there's a lot of potential for variants and repaints. They could make an easy Pescadero Sarah by utilizing the head, arms and upper torso from Ultimate Sarah. We could potentially see a bunch of the weird T-1000 looks like when he gets split in two with the rod or a "shocked", broken nitrogen Motorcycle cop. They could do a bunch of cool Kenner repaints. Steel Mill T-1000 is a no brainer. Fun times ahead. I was satisfied when we just had the T-800 and T-1000 variants, but now we have quite the substantial collection, a collection I've always wanted to see done since I was a kid.

Yeah I thought the line was dead. I didn't even consider Ultimate T-800 any indication of a revival but then along came Ultimate Sarah and their statement of big plans for the 25th anniversary. :yess:

I really hope we're not getting ahead of ourselves with our John Connor talk. But they have to have known that by making Newt it would inevitably get Terminator collectors thinking about John. And as we've said before, it's now or never with the anniversary coming up. Of course there will be other anniversaries but they're presumably not going to keep the line going for another 5 years till they finally make John for the 30th so it very much feels like he has to be announced this year if he's ever going to be. The Newt announcement is a blessing for the Aliens line but also potentially a set-up for huge disappointment for the T2 line. I just can't help myself, Newt has me almost fully convinced that John will be happening whereas before yesterday I would have said 'no chance'.

Terminator license > Aliens license

John Connor > Newt

It'd be nuts to design, create and make the tooling for "Rebecca" (probably the least toyetic figure a company could make) and her baby doll head, and not John Connor, the pivotal character from the movies with the bike, computer, and Endoskeleton parts . I'd be pissed. :lol

He's a key character and the last one hey need to finish off the Terminator 2 line. It's be a huge oversight to produce Newt but not Connor.

Well, I have a Terminator bias but their Alien line has been fantastic so far with long-desired grails and a good bit of character variety and it seems like this will continue. If they had announced John Connor yesterday instead of Newt I'd have been saying ''Awesome...oh and maybe this means we can get a Newt figure, make it happen NECA''. I'll take both. Although I'll buy more Johns than Newts. Weird sentence.

How cool is that. Sometimes I still can't believe we have these figures now. For so many years with even T2, let alone T1 (for which nothing had ever been made), it was like the current situation with Die Hard - ''why the hell are there no decent official figures with likenesses from this film??'' NECA to the rescue in 2009 at last and we're still getting new stuff in 2016.

Did you end up buying 2 Ultimate T-800s? :lol Got sucked in like myself. I too was planning to skip the T-800 at one point. Although I only bought one, initially for a Cyberdyne Axe-wielding T-800, then changed my mind and used it for Battle Across Time and then, when I decided to go for a Maisto Bike, I did the torso switch and he ended up being my permanent bike rider figure. I'm happy enough with all my other T-800s having the statue legs as I want them at that original height.

DiFabio

Yeah, I bought two. :lol

Mine are the same height as the old ones, which I thought was strange after seeing the comparisons where it looks noticeably shorter. Is it because I extended the knees as straight as they could go? Also when I did the torso swap with the Peacadero T-800, the hips popped out of the crotch and were loose. Thankfully I heated them up a bit more and let it sit and they're back to normal. One thing O noticed though is that it feels a little bit loose at the torso. I mean he's not sliding around doing a complete twist, but it is noiciably smoother with less friction where the Peacadero torso popped into the Ultimates lower legs. Did I not pop them on all the way at the waist or is this the normal fit?

While NECA certainly is not up to the "high end" level of many manufacturers, thanks to their passion for these franchises and figures, they have more often provide me with the best presence of my most favorite properties. I have an amazing Terminator collection because of NECA that even at my largest, the combination of Sideshow and Hot Toys couldn't really touch in terms of representing the movies and the events of them. I have a nice Rambo collection thanks to them, best Rocky figure I ever owned, my favorite Godzilla 2014 figure in my whole collection, Predator.

It looks like its on right. A minor consequence of the switch-out it seems.

I kinda don't want to take my figure off the Harley to re-test but I'm sure I would have straightened the knees for my height comparison and he was shorter than the original release. I'm surprised to hear that yours are the same height.

It's quite fortunate that my favourite licenses are their favourite licenses. They're delving pretty deep - still can hardly believe they're making Newt from Aliens - a female figure and a child no less - common wisdom has been that those 2 things = inferior sellers - and yet they've deemed her important enough to make. That's fantastic for us. And it surely must increase the likelihood of T2 John.

That's fantastic for us. And it surely must increase the likelihood of T2 John.
Alright, if Newt has been deemed important enough to do, then there is definitely an argument for T1 Sarah. There's no movie without her. Aliens didn't NEED Newt, and it's not like she comes with a bazooka or anything.

Yeah, I wouldn't rule T1 Sarah out now. Unless Newt tanks so badly that they just can't do it again.

If we asked on twitter I'm sure Randy would deny that T1 Sarah (or even T2 John) are a possibility but I have to believe that they in fact are.

I assume they'll just stick with their existing sculpts, no real clothes, which I doubt NECA could mass produce very well anyway.

Ever since the Newt announcement it has made the wait for news on their T2 anniversary plans all that much harder. Will they complete the main cast and make John...and if I'm greedy (I am) Pescadero Sarah with Chett's autoparts denim jacket option....

I would assume an 18" T2 will either be some semi BD mix with the mini gun or full BD and maybe die cast endo arm parts and and actual hoses/tubing, a glorified version of the 12" with Ultimate T-800 level articulation.

That endoskeleton knee complicates giving ultimate articulation to a BD T-800 figure. I wonder how they'd go about it.

I'd prefer a modified sculpt if they did that. Was never quite sold on the small version (which is to say I bought it of course, but don't think they quite nailed it, the hair looked too short)

The other thing about the NECA Police Shootout figure, certainly the first version we have, is that it doesn't pose very well. The legs being pre-posed and the limited range of motion in the shoulders and elbows prevent you from capturing any particular shot from that part of the film with the figure.

Tech Noir was similarly limited in the arms but the leg stance works for when he's spraying the bar with bullets with the uzi.

NECA is doing an Ultimate T1 Police shootout so I'd imagine the 1/4 would be somewhat close to that maybe added double jointed elbows or something to that degree. So I wouldn't worry too much about the legs or arms as thier T2 ultimate t-800 was good

It'll have hip and knee joints but I don't think they'll change the arms at all so decent gun-wielding poses will still be difficult. Having said that, I wouldn't want the sculpt to be too compromised.

Indeed :) ,rip off grey paint from t-shirt, T-1000 hands with custom wrists-pegs for a corret arm lenght (if you zoom it u can actually see the right peg), for the arm just poped off the elbow peg and leave it semi-attached to flex it a little more, the shotgun is from the pescadero escape release 'cause is less curved that the ultimate one and also have the trigger, and cut it to make it shorter, minimal changes but gives realism to the figure.

Seems it isn't the McFarlane right arm although I have actually used that on 2 figures - with pretty good effectiveness here for the ''Uncle Bob'' introduction at Enrique's camp:

Fantastic, I love it. The reason I noticed the hands straight away is that I've also used T-1000 relaxed hands for some of mine. That gun-barrel gripping hand looks all kinds of silly if the figure's arm is down by his side. Makes me wish NECA did what Hot Toys does in providing alternate hands as standard for each figure. But you've done a better job integrating the T-1000 hands into the figure than I did - they look like proper working joints while also paying attention to arm length. Years ago I just glued some of mine and also inserted the hand too deep into the sleeve (like that Pescadero figure above). More recently I've just opted for blu-tack to keep the T-1000 hands in - like on this figure who really really needs a John Connor to interact with:

For a 2009 sculpt, boy do the Arnold proportions still hold up.

My only wish is that NECA, instead of simply reworking the legs to give them modern articulation, went all out and made the arms, shoulders and torso more poseable like their current figures. They're going in the right direction with their "Ultimate" figures, but these figures should pack a little more oomph. Would have been cooler if the Ultimate Arnold had palms, fists and updated articulation in the chest, shoulders and elbows instead of the sunglasses and damaged head. Maybe for T2's 30th.

As a company, NECA's early figures were quite peculiar. McFarlane was pretty cut and dry, they were sold as figures and had a few joints, but essentially their products were cheap statues that only looked good in the sculpted pose.

NECA, early on, was a weird mix, their figures were mostly like statues, same as McFarlane, but with a slight bit of extra articulation, why who knows. Pescadero T-800 is a great example, everything about it is basically made to be in a shotgun firing pose, the articulation allows for some limited variation to how you do it, but it's all made for that, and other poses look awkward, so it almost begs the question, why give such a tease of posing options, either go full like today's figures, or go statue where there aren't joints to break and the overall piece is mostly more stable.

Damn!! you did a great job with your uncle Bob!! really like it, I think I'll give a try that mcfarlane right arm looks more natural than mine, and for your pescadero terminator u can try the double peg that I use and the T-1000 trigger hand really works and keeps the movility in the wrist, also try to make shorter the shotgun really adds realism:

I'm glad they released that first run of T-800s exactly as they did. That way if any future super-articulated figures have too many compromises on the sculpts for my liking I always have the original figures to fall back on. The Ultimate T-800 figure disappointed in a way, though not for sculpt compromises in his case, rather that (at least on my one figure) the added articulation somehow made him shorter than all the other T-800s. But if they started doing new things to the shoulders, elbows, mid-torso and head - there's a chance I might not like what it does to the appearance (particularly if they converted to a ball-joint head, ****ing hate those).

As it happens they chose exactly the moment of the film I too would have gone for if I were making a 'statue-like' T-800 figure. I even think the face was sculpted for that scene specifically - while he's firing the shotgun.

Fantastic work, very cleverly done and the results speak for themselves. I might do this or settle for a single joint option if need be. You've given me the idea that I could dremel inside the T-800 arm and then just entirely cut off the sleeve (with socket) from a few expendable T-1000s I have, paint it black and glue it inside the T-800 arm and voila, a working joint for the T-1000 hands. I don't necessarily require a huge range of motion, my main issue was that the stock hands just didn't look natural in anything other than the 2 handed shotgun pose.

As far as shortening the shotgun - I never thought the shotgun was too long? I must check that in the movie but I'll do it if indeed you're correct.

Great!...I almost can see the neca's john in this picture :D

I know. T2 story completion is within our grasp. Please let our hopes (based on Aliens Newt) not be misguided.

Also I looked at this scene in the film again and he actually stands with his front more towards camera and looking sideways at John so if I ever get to properly recreate this scene ( ) the adjustment will be made.

Thanks pal; I notice this shotgun issue when I tried to receate the classic movie poster with the bike, even if the arm looks in pose, the shotgun keeps looking to high, the proportions are OK, its because the shotgun is in another scale, don't know why, but is maybe in 1/8 scale, according to my calculations (neca changes the weapons scale all the time), the only way to make it look more accurate without molding a new one, is to short it.
You can see it for yourself, in that poster the shotgun measures about 2 (and a bit) arni-heads long, then compare it with your figures.

If nothing is planned than it's definitely not going to be included with their 1/4 T-800 or an Ultimate Battle Damaged.

Really weird that Hot Toys and NECA have never made it. The scene where he pushes those doors open and fires those grenades in the parking lot then hands it to the cop, "here, hold this" is right up there with the shotgun, mini gun and grenade launcher scenes.

Really weird that Hot Toys and NECA have never made it. The scene where he pushes those doors open and fires those grenades in the parking lot then hands it to the cop, "here, hold this" is right up there with the shotgun, mini gun and grenade launcher scenes.

Yep I freaking love that scene...

So question guys I want an Mall scene 7 inch t-800 does the old body torso just pop off or what. I know I will prob have to get another ultimate t-800 for his legs lol.

Also if anyone has an legit Pescadero Escape 7" for sale let me know. I looked on ebay and amazon but most likely all of those are all bootlegs being they only want $19.99 for most of them.

Yup, the Pescadero T-800's torso pops off at the waist. It's really simple. Just hit the waist area with a blow dryer or hot water on the 2009 figure and pop it off. Then do the same to the waist area on the Ultimate figure and pop those off too. Switch them and you're good to go.

I just did that with one of mine last week,

And yeah, all the ones on ebay and amazon are bootlegs. Keep an eye out on ebay because every once in awhile one pops up that's legit. The key thing to look for is one being sold in the United States and not China. There are also other differences you can look for. The packaging on the bootlegs are missing the red eye on Arnold in the paper insert and the "Skynet tech" graphics behind the typography is a lot darker since the Chinese clearly reprinted them from a scan. The original figures also have better paint work on the jackets (more subtle "dirtiness" to them) and livelier flesh colored hands and heads like my photo above.

Well the holster is on the correct side to the movie. I wouldn't have changed that. Providing both trigger hands would have been nice I guess.

My beef with the figure is the outfit now being a brighter blue than the old one. Means I can't mix parts, say if I just wanted to replace the broken arms of the older figure because I like that figure's proportions better.

Ultimate T-1000 is still the best T-1000 though, granted the arms don't break down like the old 2010 figures. But yeah, the choices NECA made for it were definitely head scratchers.

- why the brighter blue?
- why the Steel Mill donut head instead of the Pescadero sauce head?
- why the left finger knife hand instead of the left pistol holding hand (they already had the mold from the old figure)
- the liquid metal damage squibs were sculpted better on the older figure.

The boxed "Ultimate" thing is kind of lame. I like the value to it, but it doesn't mean anything for people looking for accuracy. The Steel Mill aspects like the knife finger and donut head shouldn't have been included. The only improvements and "new" features are articulated legs anyway. Since that's the case, why not just make standard regular figures on blisters with the updated legs/QC/paint? Then they could remake everyone of the figures for roughly the same price and sell more.

It does make the old figures still worth owning since certain parts are exclusive to those releases, which was maybe NECA's intent. Pescadero T-800 is still the only way you can get that black shirt and ungloved hands. Galleria Mall T-1000 is the only way to get a better holster that closes and a left trigger finger hand. Pescadero is still the only way to get the sauce head.

The liquid metal parts were painted better on the older figures too. On the Ultimate T-1000 the squibs and the hole in the donut head are a very matte silver whereas there was a bit more of a shine on those parts of the older releases. Neither can compare though to the liquid metal paint on the Genisys T-1000. For some reason, short of actually painting it in chrome, they nailed it there.

As far as the choice of alternate parts in the Ultimate T-1000, yeah, a bit odd to include steel mill parts with a predominantly Galleria/Pescadero version...unless they had no intention of doing any other releases.

Well we know they're doing an Ultimate Motorcycle Cop T-1000. It would be a waste not to utilize the waist, legs and boots for an easy Steel Mill T-1000.

Then again, we could make our own by swapping parts, but knowing NECA, the Ultimate Motorcycle cop bottom half probably won't be compatible with the Ultimate T-1000 torso, or the pants colors will be different shades or they'll glue down the utility belt to it's waist.

I hate the leg pose on the old Motorcycle/Steel Mill. I could never get them to stand on their own.

Hope I'm not seeing another case of one leg longer than the other like on Sarah Connor, it really bugs me on that figure.

Otherwise this is about what I knew to expect. I don't think they quite nailed the hair on these sculpts but I knew they probably wouldn't redo them. So anything new like the revolver is a bonus.

For the Tanker Truck pursuit version I suppose I'll swap the new legs onto the old body - assuming they're compatible - because that body has the chest and stomach wound.
Then two other figures will use the other 2 heads. I think that'll do it. 3 purchases.

It'd be nice if they'd make an eye-surgery figure, maybe it'll happen one day.

Agreed. The only ultimate thing about them are the legs. While I appreciate the idea, they are just reissued figures pretty much. Ultimate to me shouldn't be extra heads and weapons, it'd be nice if they actually made improvements and had accuracy in mind. How about a hidden ab crunch in the torso? How about improved headsculpts or fists and relaxed hands? I dunno. The new legs are nice and I'll buy them, but those should have been on the older figures to begin with.

I kinda wish this Ultimate one had the bullet holes in the chest. I have the old tanker truck chase version but I don't feel like swapping torsos.

At the very least they should've included;

-Alternate hands
-swappable torso

- Movie themed base (NECA got away from doing these, and I'm not sure why because they definitely add to the overall look when displayed)

More pics of Ultimate T-800 on NECA's website. At first I thought they went with translucent skin but clearly it's just the lighting misleading my eyes. I think that skin tone would suit this line of figures well (would definitely give off that sweaty look he had in the film). Oh well.

Side note: Thinking back, my first exposure to the Terminator franchise was really T2, having watched it first on VHS in 91 or 92 at a friend's house. I was born in 86 so I didn't really get to watch T1 until after T2 since T2 was enormously popular then (ironically the same order of exposure I had to two of my other favorite films ever, Alien and Aliens). With T1 though, after seeing him as a bad ass hero figure in Judgement Day, I got the shock of my life and remember being absolute **** scared of the cold blooded killing machine Arnie was playing here. To get to the point, the police shootout scene has to be one of the most terrifying scenes of pure panic and slaughter ever filmed. An unstoppable killing machine mowing down people one by one. That is the stuff of nightmares.

The thing bugs me and something I noticed only a few years ago, even on the Blu-ray remastered version the damn shotgun makes assault rifle noises during the shootout. That's one sound goof that never got fixed. :lol

Allow me to throw in my guess here. With Neca's mysterious tweets, them dabbling in vehicles and cinemachines, their newly fully articulated T-800, and a T2 rerelease on the cards... Perhaps, but with Cinemachines, they're original movie creations that can be covered with the license, whereas the bikes in T2 are real world items or built around real world items that would require licensing with the original manufacturer as well. I'm sure NECA would have already done the Fat Boy if they wouldn't have to pay Harley too, but once you add that cost, then your collectible has to go up and they figure enough people won't pay that high a price. Harley replicas alone go for like $30, now add a $20 figure, you're pushing $60-$70 probably for a 7" scale figure with bike, die hards here who really want it have paid as much going through ebay and all, but there's not enough of us for NECA to justify production and tooling any everything.

Randy was asked if he had considered making the Fatboy and he said ''of course'' but he did mention the licensing obstacle....I think he brought up the complicated tooling aswell.

I want a T2 smile attempt head and T2 desert latino baby for Terminator to pick up.

:lol

I had no idea I needed that.

More pics of Ultimate T-800 on NECA's website. At first I thought they went with translucent skin but clearly it's just the lighting misleading my eyes. I think that skin tone would suit this line of figures well (would definitely give off that sweaty look he had in the film). Oh well.

Terminator – 7″ Action Figure – Ultimate T-800 (Police Station Assault) (http://necaonline.com/56192/products/toys/action-figures/terminator-7-action-figure-ultimate-t-800-police-station-assault/)

:lol

I can't remember which film I saw first. I wish I could.

Anyway, ordered 3 of the Ultimate Police Shootouts from BBTS. Then I added another Ultimate Tech Noir to bring that up to three aswell. Feck it, I'd probably have ended up ordering another later anyway.

I'm waiting until they hit stores so I can pick and choose them in person. I don't want to risk getting figures from online retailers with wonky eyes or parts of unpainted hair.

Also wonder if the Police Assault Ultimate will have the same poster cover box as the Tech Noir Ultimate. Seems like they dropped the character specific thing they had going on with the T2 ultimates.

My only store is a 50 minute commute and 15-20 minute walk away so I can't be arsed with that. I'm buying enough of them that I'm bound to end up with somewhat acceptable paint even if it's spread across the 3 figures and my old ones combined.

What people need to understand is that SDCC is pretty much the only outlet for NECA to release these, they number of people that would go for it are pretty much the only ones that want to, it's not a character that's bound to fly of shelves, so getting TRU to commit to orders and such would be hard. As said, NECA exclusives are generally easy to come by, even if slightly higher than retail. Realistically, if NECA couldn't use a convention exclusive outlet, we probably wouldn't get these figures.

BTW, everyone all psyched about T2 plans, do not forget, NECA loves retro Kenner stuff, as excited as we are, all the new stuff could be Kenner retro tribute figure, which, as someone that pretty much had them all an wished they were NECA-like figures instead, I'd be tempted to get NECA versions of some, but it may not be movie stuff. That's where John Connor could be done as duel figure, get the movie-acurrate version and for the tooling, get the Kenner deco version too.

yes but it doesn't work as well as A&P and still covering the movie stuff for T2

I went to my local Toys r Us and picked up the new Neca Video Game Edition Terminator 2 T-800. I know it's just a repaint but I think it's really cool and probably the best video game figure released so far from Neca. The box is especially cool even if the game blows. [emoji38]

I haven't bought it but it does look pretty good from all the pics I've seen. The effect works surprisingly well. Sometimes gimmicky figures like this just look plain silly because mass-production just can't do what needs to be done - frozen T-1000 for example or some of the translucent predators.

I'll be getting the NES T2 Terminator to go along with my NES 1989 Batman.

I hated that T2 game as a kid (I preferred the T2 Arcade game and the Sega ports), but the packaging and 8-bit deco is just too cool too pass on. He'll look cool next to the purple 8-bit '89 Batman. I always see Robocop and have been tempted to get it. Batman, Terminator, And Robocop were the big three things for me in the late 80s, early 90s.

The only Robocop vs. Terminator figure I bought was the regular Endo in the blue/grey deco and the turrent mini-gun. I loved the clean deco on it (kinda reminded me of how the Endos looked at night in T2's opening), and it really brought out the detail of the sculpt, especially the face and head.

Finally went ahead and picked up a couple of the Ultimate T-800 figures. I noticed they seemed to be getting just a bit harder to find and I didn't want to wait until it was too late. Glad I went ahead and pulled the trigger as it's a really cool figure. Now I guess I need to go ahead and get the Endo, T-1000 and Sarah Connor. These are relatively cheap (compared to Hot Toys for example), but buying them all sure adds up quick. Especially if you're crazy like I am and buy 2 (or more) of each.

I'm surprised and disappointed that Neca still seem to have no interest in doing T3 or beyond. Paint on the heads looks improved but I'm worried he's got 'one leg shorter than the other' syndrome (1:22) which the Sarah Connor figure also had. Really annoying problem if I'm honest.

Usual terrifying articulation demonstration in the video.

Figure looks great apart from the leg thing.

Does anyone else have problems with their NECA endoskeleton standing up? I'm thinking it's the rubbery plastic that's used these days and the ankles can't support the weight. Maybe I need to drill up through the bottom of the feet and into the legs and insert a piece of metal rod to strengthen the area?

Even with the nearly worthless NECA stands these figures just won't stay up. It's mostly because of those articulated toes from what I can tell. They do very well in a dropped to one knee pose though.
