DiD has a new WW2 figure. It is great, full of gear and very authentic. I guess DiD is picking up the ball where others have dropped the ball on military/ historic figures. Unfortunately, that includes SideShow. There hasn't been anything new for the LIVE BY THE SWORD and the other lines are fadeing away quickly for the LOTR and other Movie lines.

I'm far more interested in their Napoleonics (and LotR) figures. I stopped even checking the Dragon website since I've lost all interest in the WW2 figures.

I could hardly be more excited. The quality looks astounding.

For those who appreciate this kind of stuff there's a very impressive NSDAP figure coming up as well: http://www.onlinedid.com/products/wwii/80026/
I hear they have some modern stuff lined up as well. Looking good for the 1/6 freaks among us :banana

Both Dragon and BBi did really excellent Airborne figures and they look very much like that one. Although I am impressed with DiD's boots and shoes on the figures I do have - far better than Dragon or BBi.

I can't agree more. I would like to see more WWI and Civil War figures from Sideshow.

I was burnt out on WWII figures too but I have to admit that DID's new figures have reignited my interest! The Quality is soooo much better then Dragon's original 82'nd Airborne.

This 82nd AB fig from DID is a must-get. I also thought that Dragon's Soldat2 (101st AB) figure was amazing, as was their Dan Summers. Competition is good.
As for Sideshow, I would love to see more WWI aviator/pilot figures released. So far we only have Rickenbacker and two renditions of the Red Baron.
