Hi guys, well I chose this paint scheme because I really liked the scene a lot, in the next week you will see the other paint ups as well, interigation , poster.
the photshop helps me see how I will angle the bust.
I like this piece I wanted to show it totally completed but what the hell.

Looks sick! I wanna throw out one thing, and this will probably be meaningless since you're probably in the finishing stages of production, but imho the the only thing I don't like is how elongated the face is between the eyes and nose. That's the one thing that's throwing it off for me personally. I did a quick photo Mod to illustrate what I mean.

Your pic (Left) side by side with my Mod:

http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g96/bobbyc1225/cc.jpghttp://img150.imageshack.us/img150/5929/ccmodmf7.jpg

To my eye, the Mod looks more accurate. Again, this is just my opinion. As far as the actual work you've done, sweet lord, it's nothing short of breath taking. Hope you have success selling these, truly works of art man. Respect.

That is absolutely amazing work. I think it's time to start buying lottery tickets :lol

The thing that gets me most is how good the hair looks, from the hair line to the styling, that's what really sells the look of the bust to me

How much would something like this cost? It's probably way out of my league.

I wanted to back this up, I agree with what Devil666 did, the face still was too long....or to me it appeared as if the eyes were too high on the head and the nose was too long for Ledger. Devil's photoshop illustrates it perfectly!

Other than that, it is an AMAZING piece. The best bust of the Ledger Joker there is!

01-31-2009, 07:41 AM
Hi Guys thanks for the comments and critiques, It will be easy for me to do any changes on a 1/3rd head of course.
we should be getting this scanned real soon then it is down hill from there.
I will take note of the eyes possibly being to high up, the funny thing is in person if I was to change the sculpt it would look like a super deform.
based on my face features at 5 foot 10 and heath is 6 foot or above, My nose distance is the same exact.
but all this is truly trial and error , lots of error .
but seriously Thanks for the kind words.
The Crow is now on the work bench.

02-01-2009, 04:08 AM
Hi guys the 1/3rd will be painted to the customer specifications.
since they are silicon most people on the boards just want to get it and display it.
if you decide to get a clown figure then you will have contact with me during the paint to make sure it is exact to what you want.
since it will be limited each person will have there own special piece.
everyone like different parts of the movie.

The next 1/3rd is Reeve.

Unbelievable workmanship! Can we see some detail shots, especially of the eyes? I like how you have them properly dark and not so light colored. His eyes look really dark in most of the movie. You've gone and captured the man, his head, and just brought it to life again! AMAZING! :bow

right i understand thats why I dont want to go and tell him im in and then backout because the price is too steep, thats why I am throwing my limit out there now. Craftmanship like that and how talented an artist he is I totally expect it to be higher. It is just wishful thinking.

Hi Guys THa nks for the great compliments, I plan on taking these to a new level. they won't look like dolls , they will look like shrunken down people.
inserted acrylic eyes, not painted, correct hair thickness properly inserted.
eyelashes , nose hair . etc when photgraphed they will look 1/1 scale.
not sure of the price yet. it is costing me a small fortune to have these proto's made.
will keep ya posted on everythign
Thanks!

to be honest bobby, i dont think u need to go to the extremes of nose hairs, and eyelashes and such cause i know a lot of us would like to get one of these, but we also know if yur going to go to these extremes, the price range will be way too far out for 98% of us............i know i would like one! but anything over 2k is prolly too much imo for all of us.

Depends how much detail we're talking about per the proposed price. All that detail does sound very enticing, i'd probably pay it if it looked EXACTLY like a shrunken down Heath in every way, probably get rid of a figure or two and some militaria to help fund it. But that does sound like extreme detail, so not cheap in the slightest, but i'd rather see a perfect piece than a nearly perfect piece, regardless of price. I just want to see someone absolutely NAIL him in a smaller scale, would be a MUST have for any fan :) The 1:1 is already pretty dead on

WOW guys thanks for the compliments! it feels good.
well I have been working on the lisence issue with WB and DC for
Chris reeve , Joker and a few others,
currently I'm working with Hollywood collectibles doing a 1/1 Bruce lee,
this should really blow the Bruce lee collectors away as it is a bit unique from teh normal bust sizes and base designs .
OI will have pics in a month to post.

Thanks again!
By the way the 1/3rd will definatly go , but I have to make sure I get every last detail sorted out before I have it scanned to 1/3rd scale.

Hi Guys, just a update, why this takes awhile to produce, basically it is jsut me along with 20 other projects, I want it to be perfect, that means I had to find the correct thickness of hair, eyeball size(not painted) seamstress, do the sculpture, get it scanned, and that is just the small part of it.
he is coming together and it will be correct
the hair is real hair but not human,(sort of makes you wonder)
the eyes are all custom made. the paint job will be based upon the individuals request. the edition size is a handful.
this is just a side projects I will share with a few people. all in house .
just keeping you guys updated.

The previous thread had more details on the base and mentions a special box for these. Any new info on this?

Also curious how the hair will hold up during shipping. I would have emailed you but I figured others would be interested in these points as well.

And, of course, it's looking amazing. The Christopher Nolan news really puts it over the top. I'm really psyched!!!:yess:

I do have ideas on the base but still in the works,Box art is now pending I did have some artist draw some designs up , but I don't like any of them.

the sculpt is definetely noticeable. I was shocked when I saw it. It has the same exact expression but it is 100x more accurate as crazy as that is. He gave the lips and scarring more texture as well as fix the scar on the right side. The sculpt not only looks more accurate but he looks more pissed.

Hi Guys, I felt 10 was a fair # for everyone, However I may only do 6 1/3rds, due to the difficulty in getting the outfits done.

SOME News for you guys, I have been contracted By HCG to do a 1/3rd interrogation Joker with real clothes, not sure if it will have a resin head or silicon resin to keep the price down I suppose.
However I wont post pics here because it is a sideshow board and it is from another company , out of respect.

:panic: awesome news, Bob :clap

gonna try and get this :yess:

So do I really.

Although SHH was my mainstay during the viral marketing for TDK. But around Dec after the film came out I kept getting alerts and all sorta crap when I went there, so stopped.

2011/2012 I will be there more than here though FOR SURE! :lol

Of course. I was unofficial 'Bat Correspondant' at mediworld during TDK, so will be ever on the ball. :)

Tyler was also selling them at SHH. I think I still actually prefer his one, but wouldn't decline either.

I had both and neos is 10x more accurate. The sculpt, material and paint job are far superior.

HCG is gonna make some mega bux with this movie, especially since no other company is putting out high quality pieces from this movie. Win win for everyone except peoples wallets.

I have to disagree I think neo's looks more accurate to the movie but i guess it comes down to personal choice and how you look at it, i do like both

My mistake, your right. Apart from the mouth it's spot on. I think maybe I had the HT bank robber version in my head! The top one looks a little fatter, which is good.
