I went into a comic shop here in Rotterdam (the Netherlands) and I saw the imperial walker from Master Replicas! It had a price tag of 1200 euro's and oh boy am I glad I didnt order this thing. Its ugly. And not just a little. It looks cheap in fact. Certainly not worth that much money. There's not much detail in it at all. Anyone else seen this thing yet? I was expecting something jawdropping. My jaw dropped allright. But only because of its cheapness!!

Is there no one here that owns or has seen this piece; or is it just that those who have agree too much to refute?

I thought about ordering it at one point but then saw some real pictures of it and was not that impressed.
I would love to see it in person though...

Too expensive for my blood, so never even considered ordering/buying it, and never seen it in person so can't really comment on how it came out one way or the other.
So yeah, not ignoring you or anything, just not in much of a position to comment, thats all.

I never really considered it due to the price (if I had that kind of money I'd save it up for a CT).
Yet I am very surprised to hear people dislike the quality of such an expensive piece, how did a company like MR manage to screw it up? I hear there's a second edition coming out as well, same model but with Hoth scenery, I can't comprehend why MR wants to stab the buyers of the first one in the back like that.

I own one. It's a very nice piece. Extremely heavy. I don't have a lot of space right now so I have it packed away, so no pictures :(
I think $1200 is a lot to pay for this prop, but it is extremely detailed. I saw a picture once of all the little parts used to build each one... very impressive. At first glance, though, the detail did not blow me away. But I think that's due to the design of the AT-AT and the decision to use a 'clean' paint job on the model.
If memory serves me correctly, the MR replica is very true to the original. I'll try to dig up that 'exploded' parts view of the replica.

and the decision to use a 'clean' paint job on the model.
Well I was expecting something more of that paintjob. They kinda stuck to the 'original' abit too much. It looks like a bunch of plastic toys glued together. I'm not trying to put it down or anything, but I was really disappointed when I saw the piece. I expected something beautiful for that $1200, but all I got was nice...
