the best returns keaton i've seen so far is by customworkz - i agrreed to buy it once a few inaccuraccies are fixed with the cowl. it looks pretty good. but quite pricey. the sovereign studios one is nice too, but could be in for a serious wait!

The customworkz version would even be better if the headsculpt was based on the Horizon kit. I bought the Batman Returns Horizon model kit from ebay a while ago so i'll always have a Keaton batman if there isn't going to be a figure. The only problem is, i can't build or paint model-kits at all, i'm lousy at it:lol.

it is possible. If they do figures of AVP then a Eric Draven can't be too far out of reach. Don't get me wrong,I know Pred and Alien are mad popular but in no way were the AVP movies better than The Crow.

They did Edward Scissorhands wich is a classic gothic hero just like Eric Draven. A Crow figure will come, i'm sure of it. It may take a while though.

oh yeah,the Crow would sell like crazy. I think their problem is that alot of time has passed since the movie. But like you said they did an Edward Scissorhands. And Neca never had a problem selling their Crow figures :D So Hot Toys would be fine.

Considering the Bruce Lee figures and the sculpt on the Jack Bauer I had been hoping Enterbay would pick this up. But now that I've got Bauer in hand there's no way I want an Eric Draven on this funky body.

I think HT would be mad good for the sculpt aswell. When i look at the Vito Corleone headsculpt by HT and Enterbay, i personally prefer the Vito Corleone headsculpt by HT.

I don't think Enterbay seems more likely, they seem a bit dry in their choices for figures, avoiding the more fantasy-based characters.

I would probably take one from HT or Medi but the ratchet-joints on my Bauer figure are a real disappointment. It really limits poseability. I would want my Crow figure to be able to pull of some really dynamic poses.
Of course, I'm only basing this on the Jack Bauer figure. I don't know anything about the Bruce Lee figures Enterbay has made.
As it stand now JB will be my first and last Enterbay figure. Highest possible praise for the head sculpt but just not much fun, IMHO. And the accessories and shoes have a very cheap feel to them.
But if HT passes and the time ever comes that Enterbay wants a head count, I will tell them that I'm going to buy one so you guys at least get something! :lol

I feel like this figure is so simple from an R&D standpoint that they might actually do it if we annoy them enough. It's not like we're asking for some crazy armored figure or a unique body type. And as has been pointed out already, how hard could it be to get the license when NECA has been producing figures for years?

As soon as I got into this hobby I knew I wanted a 1/6 Eric Draven I was totally content with my modified SovereignStudio one but I definitly need an officialy licenced 1/6 figure. Wow man Im like totally blown away at how much the popularity of this movie has grown in the past couple of years. I remember I couldent get anybody to admit they were Crow fans a couple of years back, and now its just crazy how popular this movie is.

As soon as I got into this hobby I knew I wanted a 1/6 Eric Draven I was totally content with my modified SovereignStudio one but I definitly need an officialy licenced 1/6 figure. Wow man Im like totally blown away at how much the popularity of this movie has grown in the past couple of years. I remember I couldent get anybody to admit they were Crow fans a couple of years back, and now its just crazy how popular this movie is.

Yeah the NECA bust, i don't like it. The weird thing is NECA produced a pretty good headsculpt for the 18" crow figure, why didn't they just use that one?

yep, you're absolutely right - just looked at it again. the 18" figure's HS is fantastic, whereas the bust is quite rough and not too accurate. now if we could only get that sculpt in a high-end 12"er

I have the Neca Bust and I'm disapointed in it because they made it sooo fragile. I broke mines hair that hung in his face. It's like made of plastic :dunno I like the bust but being a statue and all they could've made it more solid.

I think EB and HT will both do a decent headsculpt of the crow. Although HT has the edge when it comes to the costume accuracy. Judging from what they did with scissorhands.

Thanks guys! Yeah, the hair is off, but when I tried the brown, it just didn't look right. I figured black would be okay if I was going for a "wet" look...

As for a recipe, that's a Hot Toys British Tank commander under all that hair and paint, a spandex suit from Triad, boots from... someone I can't remember, and the jacket and pants are modded from NECA's 12" Crow. Add some electrical tape and viola!

Thing is, the only real way we as customers can influence a company like Hot Toys (or Sideshow) is with our £/$/€

We've all done our bit here by raising awareness but i doubt whether half a dozen of us freaks will make that much difference to HT's release schedules.

Simply put, we don't like, we don't buy. (judging from a lot of the current threads Sideshow might be feeling this over the next 6 - 12 months, at least in it's 1:6 lines)!

Our problem is we DO like and we DO buy when it comes to Hot Toys. They pretty much knock the ball out of the park with each release so I guess they figure "We'll keep on making what we want, when we want." (Not meaning to sound like they don't care what we think - but they are getting a lot right!)

What gives me hope and keeps me sending these darn emails, is that if they made an Edward Scissorhands, especially without likeness rights, there's a really good chance they will make a "Crow" (and Beetle Juice + Lydia Deetz must start a thread banging on about those two!!)

So if anyone comes up with a great idea to get this figure made. I'm on board. But meantime I think I'll just drop my mate at HT another quick note.....
