Hi ppl.....so I thought I'd change my batman figure around and put the bruce wayne head on and change the hands around and stuff, and whilst I was taking the hands off one of the pegs snapped off on the hands and now the ball is stuck inside the hand of the figure...I know how to get it now(drill inside and pull it out) but where the ^^^^ do I now get a replacement peg from, thats the right type. I live in the UK btw so if anyones got any ideas...ANYWHERE at all of where I can purchase a set of hand pegs for the truetype figure then I'd be so freaking greatful. Right now he looks like hes reaching for sumthing behind his back...lol...the only way I could not make him look disabled !!! PLEASE help us out here....owh and Merry Christmas too all !!!!

You can buy pegs on eBay, if you type in *Hot Toys Hand* or *Hot Toys Peg* or *Hot Toys Batman Dark Knight* some people have them listed becuase they have parted out the figure. Someone in this forum said you can contact Hot Toys via their website and they will sed you some for free...I e-mailed them but I haven't recieved a reply or any pegs lol

Hope that helps

Josh

Hi there, I've searched like you've told me to but cannot find the pegs on there own. Theres ones that come with the hand but there the Jokers hands and I dnt want the hands especially if there the jokers and I've got a batman figure. I've contacted Hot Toys and a Europe distributor so I hope I can get something sorted with them. If you know anyone on the sideshow forums that sells extra parts then please let me know !!! Am sorta new so I dnt know everyone here. Thanks for your concern and help !!!

twisting while pulling can prevent this to happen try to be careful next time, anyway sending msg to hot toys was a right action right now i'm sure they will response someday please be patient & relax....

I had the same problem with the Superman Returns figure. I emailed HT and the replaced the ball connector

Email Hot Toys and ask for a replacement, it might take a while for them to respond but they should send you a replacement. Seems like these pegs are a major problem. I only plan on changing hands once to put the grappel hook hand on and that is if I'm feeling brave enough.

Hi there all, just to let you know that Hot Toys have emailed me back apologizing about the situation and obviously there gonna replace the peg !!
So thats very good news...I guess I got lucky with Hot Toys this time as I've read alot of people have had communication problems with them.

I've taken some pics of my figure to show u lot because I don't know how to take the broken peg out you see (Theres a stub of plastic stuck in the arm part and I don't know if thats lodged in there or what). If anyone can help me with this last problem then I'd be very greatful !!!

P.S. before I email Hot Toys back could anyone, by looking at the pics, confirm that it is only a hand peg with one ball jointed end ? Or is it the one with a ball joint on both ends ?

Thanks too all the people that have help me !!!

Think you should try an easy out. Any hardware store, or larger hobby shop should be able to fix you up. You'll need an easy out and a matching dill bit. Use it in a pin vise hand drill handle. You'll have to hold the peg to prevent it from turning when you use the drill bit and easy out, but it will work, I've done it.

I sent a message to hot toys and they said they'd send replacements. I would keep those in the hands and get extra pairs so you don't have to pull them out. That's what I'm doing.

Broke a couple over the 1st and TDK figures, emailed HT but got nothing back not even a reply, boxed them up and never touched them since, bad show HT.

There needs to be a sticky in this section about heating up the hands to soften them before popping them on and off.

True, as it keeps coming up. A bowl of hot water was the best route for me. Though before I gently pulled the hands with the plugs out the arms. I slowly let lock cylinder lubricant oil drip from a needle into the joints for it to work loose. Once both fists were off with the pegs still attached I sat them in very hot water for 5 - 10 seconds. Slowly levering them left/right while gently pulling till it popped off.

From the way most are doing it the plastic is cold so it's then brittle. Any odd pulling and it snaps.

I was shocked how easy the original suit hands were to change. I still done the same procedure with them just incase.

It was probably a little extreme doing it this way, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Hey people, heating it up n all seems quite extreme but if it saves u snapping it off then even am gonna try that. I can drill the ball joint and pull that out but what about that stub of plastic still in the arm ? Shall i just get a small drill bit and reverse drill it out or what ??? Any suggestions ? Anyone whos had the same problem and got it out successfully???

As I said before use a hobby Easy Out. They come in very small sizes. You can get them in larger hobby shops. I bought mine from a shop that does alot of HO train business. Don't forget the matching drill bit. Drill it first then use the Easy Out. To be on the sate side, heat up the arm before you remove the broken piece. You will need a pin vise to use the miniature sze drill and Easy Out. I've done this and it works.

I feel your pain. I broke the same damn peg.:monkey2

I love how you think it's funny that a little piece of plastic off of a $175 figure breaks. Not everyone has money from "Porn Star retirement" to spend on $300 PF figures. Some people can hardly afford Hot Toys figures. I don't blame anyone who gets upset over breaking something like this. I certainly was upset.
