Chrome or Painted?

Here's a question for you, especially to those who own the chrome Gentle Giant busts:

Given a choice, would you prefer the chrome look as opposed to the painted, particularly, and here's the twist, if the ES was much less right across the board? It would certainly have eliminated colour variations on those clone trooper busts. :p :D

I have both the Chrome Vader and Jango, while I do like them the only reason I have them is that I wont pay the prices the painted versions are going for. If I had the choice to buy a chrome or painted version of a particular bust I would buy the painted version. Since I was able to get a regular stormtrooper bust I passed on the chrome version.

I think I would end up buying the chrome versions if they had an ES of 1K or less across the board. There is something special about the chrome Jango which the painted one lacks. I think it looks sleek, cool, fresh and totally mesmerising. The chrome stormie looks just as nice as the painted version.

There is definitely something to be said for the painted versions, but I love the Chrome versions much more.

I have the chrome Vader because I wouldn't pay an amount for a bust that would buy me a statue.
The Chrome Vader doesn't differ that much from the regular black one, so I don't really mind. He still looks great! I would definitely give the other chrome versions a miss, as they're completely different colours.

I've had a chance to get a couple of the chrome versions, but I gotta say, they just don't interest me. Also, I don't think a lower ES would make them more attractive. I like the details that come with the painted versions. The chrome ones remind me of a chocolate Easter bunny. ;)

The chrome versions are cool, but I personally prefer the painted versions.

Originally, I only liked the painted versions. Hated Chrome. When I thought of chrome, it reminded me of a car. LOL.

With that said, when I first got the chrome Jango, I wasn't impressed. I like the painted version better myself.

Now with Darth Vader and the Storm Troopers, Chrome grew on me.

When I first got my Compulsion Vader, even though it's not chrome, it had a metallic finish, I loved it.

IMHO, it's nice, wouldn't be my first choice, but nice.
