View Full Version : Storm Troopers Have Green Lenses?

Just received my GG bust today, by far one of the best, but I have a question - do all of the Storm Troopers have green lenses? I know that mine was not opened, I guess I just assumed that they were black. :dunno Maybe I have the ultra-rare anomaly version, if so any takers???!?!?!?! :lol

If I remeber right they actually did have green lenses in the movie.

Interesting thanks for the help Vik, I guess they just always look black - maybe because we never (that I can remember) see them too close!?!? :dunno So if you have this one, yours are green too.

Yea I remeber this question asked and the official reply if Im not mistaken was that they were actually green tinted. They just looked black in the movie.

That's one of the first things I noticed when I got mine. I always thought the lenses were black as well.

The screen used helmets were actually green tinted. The lenses were pretty much just a sheet of green acetate and that's it. Here's a picture of the interior of a screen-used helmet:

So GG was just being faithful to the originals!

Indeed. I never knew the Stormtrooper helmets were green tinted either. How about that, eh? :)

It wasn't only stormtroopers who had green lenses in their helmets, Vader initially had green lenses also because of Dave Prowse's inability to see where he was going on set whilst wearing black lenses. :lol The problem was, his eyes were clearly visible...so they had a rethink.

The Unleashed Stormie figure has green lenses, too.
