right behind you TC, I also got my tracking number for this too, here's hoping they arrive safely ;)

Very nice but not hip

Actually, the "Escape off the Road" wall Plaque is a very, very nice item, and so is the "Flight From Isengard" Wall Plaque. The only 2 things that always stoped me from ordering those where for one the price and secondly, that i find it a bit old fashioned to hang a basrelief up against a wall... When i was a small kid, my grandma's brother had a huge basrelief hanging in his living room. That felt so bourgeois... It's just not sexy... Still, the level of artistic expression reached in these 2 pieces is breathtaking. As for the price... since i collect the mini helmets, $ 150 would buy me at least 6 of those. 4 if i bring the tax and shipping costs in account. Well, but you all know how it is: got to make choices...

Mine has just arrived too, after two items which I have to send back i'm hoping this is third time lucky.

...wheres mine?...I just signed up on the reserve list....think I'll get one??

I've never really understood signing up for the wait list for items that have low secondary market values.

People here get excited about getting stuff like the Golden Hall on the wait list. Why do that when you can get a new one for $75 elsewhere?

Here are some Escape plaques for retail to prove my point, and from a board dealer no less.

B'cos the shipping to UK from USA is high fer GH and nobody here sells at a price I wanna pay. Otherwise, I'd have bought one months ago :banghead:banghead:banghead

A lot of these guys who are getting stuff from the wait list are in Europe. Shipping might be cheaper to go through Sideshow directly. Plus you get piece of mind for replacement of damaged items.

So very very true, even thought shipping from UK to Norway is almost the same as US to Norway, I buy directly from SS because of policy when it comes to damaged items, that's the main reason why I bought Sauron, KotD and Eowyn from SS (and I don't pay neither VAT or customs from SS :D)

ah... TC... you've done it again - made me buy another item - my first plaque is soon on its way to me....

Yeah, there's a real risk of damage on the Goldan Hall and Escape off the Road.

They're big blocks of polystone with little to no significant breakage points. You could even pack them in tissue/newspaper without the original boxes and they wouldn't break.

Look, I'm just trying to help. Buying that way is essentially throwing money away. Why not just buy one that ships to Worldwide like this?

A U.S. buyer could buy one like this:

Why not email said seller, and find out how much shipping to Uk for this "Product Weight: 8.00 lbs (3.46 Kg)" package will be. That'll whack the price up a tad :banghead:banghead

https://ircalc.usps.gov/intl_speed.asp?CID=10150&MailType=package&Pounds=8&Ounces=0 fer anyone who's interested. Plus customs charges @ this end.

Also, perhaps u'd like to chase the seller of this item...........

https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6558393658&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1

I paid for it on 11 September, and cancelled my SS order. Seventeen days later, I got no statue, and the seller is doggedly refusing to reply to my emails. I've told her to sort it out, else I'm gonna file against her

Overall, Ebay is fine. However, If I lose this Galadriel (at a bargain price), I am gonna be a very UNhappy Chappie. And yes, I've bought loads of SS LOTR on ebay B4 anybody asks.

Just got home from work to find mine! :banana

The box with the pictures on it had a dent, which worrid me but the it was fine and no brakes... saying that, it looks like they missed some paint on one part of the tree root. It looks light a hight light but it should be the same colour. Not too worry though.

And, oh boy! This thing heavey! I'm scared to hang him on the wall! :horror

Psycho Cenobite :horror

Glad you got it ok, it is really heavy, can't only be 8 lbs. :horror
