What a class act of a guy. So funny and charming and good natured. He'll always be my favorite Bond.

And I've had the book on pre-order for quite sometime.

Moore is so relentlessly silly that spending time with him is a pleasure. He pulls faces for the photographer, and tells us that instead of saying "cheese", he prefers the term "witty, titty sex", which he duly utters every time the flash goes off.

Damn right he should be proud of it. The Moore bond flicks were great for all their campy fun. I like him better than the post-Goldeneye Pierce Brosnan.

"I'm the worst Bond, according to the internet. Generally hated. I was too funny, too light. Didn't take it seriously enough." He seems quite proud of this. "Well, I mean, this is a man who is supposed to be a spy. And yet he turns up in bars and hotels around the world, and everyone says, 'Ah, Mr Bond, we've been expecting you.' " Chuckle, chuckle, chuckle. "Everybody knows who he is and what he wants to drink. It's the same with the Bond girls. All the new ones say, 'Oh, I'm going to be different from the others,' but before long it's always the same - 'Oh, James.' "

That's why Moore is my favorite Bond. He didn't try to make a ridiculous character serious, and his movies (well, most of them) are a blast because of it.

I grew up with his as Bond so he is Bond to me but I enjoy the rest-almost. Craig is my choice now because of the action. I have wanted to see a new Bond:The Beginning, fresh out of spy school maybe staring Colin Ferrell.

I have loved something about each and every actor to play Bond. They all brought something to the table that helped define the character. One of the great things about Roger was his tongue in cheek nature of line deliver and the way he had fun with the facial expressions. He was a very enjoyable Bond and his films were pretty damn hilarious and exciting.

I love this interview too, it's great to see he hasn't lost his charm or his humor. :rock

While, yes, he is my least favorite Bond, I in no way hate him. I just favor his way of portraying Bond the least (and a lot of that could be owed to how awful some of his scripts are.) It's no less legitimate than Connery or Dalton's. I still think the man is a class act, and I see that above all he was having fun making his Bond films.

Dont hate him either. He's really great at times, but others he's down right awful. Least fav, but I still love some of his flicks. All the Bonds were good.

i feel the same way. unfortunately brosnan's flicks were hit or miss.
connery is tied with dalton as my favorite with craig and brosnan coming in behind.

moore is my favorite bond. spy who love me, for your eyes only, and octopussy are my 3favorite bond films ever. i could watch them over and over nonstop. i remember when i saw the new casino royale with a friend of mine. when they showed the scene of bond tied naked to a chair and getting his bits and pieces thumped, i casually said to him "that would never happen to roger moore." he said moore would never let that happen cuz he's be too busy sticking it to the ladies.

He was the Bond I grew up with too. One of the first films I saw in the theatre was Spy who Loved Me.

And Sir Roger is a very charming guy - I've had a chance to work with him recently and a nicer guy you couldn't meet.

I love Moore as Bond. Live and Let Die, The Man With the Golden Gun, and The Spy Who Loved Me are some of my favorite Bond movies!

Nobody does it better than Sir Roger; best Bond in my eyes :-)

Like the other Bonds also, but he is the special one.

Moore is actually not that low on my Bond list, Craig tops the list followed by Connery and I'd say for me personally Moore and Brosnan tie. My low is Dalton, while some love those films I could never get into them like I could with other Bond films.

I LOVE MOORE. Moonraker and View to a Kill were not the best but Live and Let Die, The Spy Who Loved Me, and Golden Gun were fantastic.

Dalton is by far my least favorite... and everyone but Craig has had a bad film.

Connery = Diamonds Are Forever
Moore = Moonraker
Brosnan = Die Another Day

I'd say that Moonraker is Shakespeare compared to "View to a Kill" - that movie is almost unwatchable.

And I liked Diamonds Are Forever too! But it is probably the weakest of the real Connerys.

I agree with all that, cept that Diamonds is good. Cant stand it now.

Moore was great. He was bond to me as a kid. Dalton is the bottom of the barrel in my book! We'll see how the new flick is, but I loved Casino Royal

Moonraker is pure sugar, capable of putting one in a sugar coma should they consume too much. It's great fun. A View to a Kill as its moments. I enjoy it despite the obvious setbacks, mostly for Moore and Macnee, who obviously have great chemistry together.

Diamonds are Forever as some nice sequences, but they never gel into a cohesive film and the finale is quite lackluster.

Moore was the Bond of my childhood and I've always loved him.
