This one was hilarious, much funnier than the original and I'm hoping they continue.

Nah, I thought the Hilary one was funnier. But you can bet they'll do something for the debate. SNL's ratings jump 50% whenever Fey does Palin.

I liked this one better than the first too, very funny. Especially the end..

This was hilarious... and scary at the same time...
oh boy...

The scary part is a lot of it was verbatim of what Palin actually said.

I loved her trying to use a lifeline at the end.

I like my comedy like I like my music, movie, and tv. Free of agenda.

That's a little boring dontcha think . . . They have Bill Clinton as a sex crazy maniac all the time . . so it's not like they don't hit both sides . . .

No. Bill Clinton isn't running either.

I don't support McCain/Palin by the way, I just prefer my entertainment not push things like this. No different than Bible beating to me.

I thought the clip was great, but they don't hit both sides equally by any stretch of the imagination.

The only shot they have ever taken at Obama was in the same episode during the debate skit. Something about Obama's plans to play the race card.

And even still it was a softball.

It's sad that some of these great comedic minds (Colbert, Conan, SNL) are too afraid (loyal) to swing at Obama. The man's a wealth of great material.

SNL mocks Obama all the time too - unfortunately it's one of their less talented performers plays him.

I don't think that's really a fair comparison. I didn't see the Wright bit, but the video you posted is making fun of the people who are making Obama out to be a savior. It's not really making fun of Obama and again on SNL the only time I've seen them approach Obama was when they were once again making fun of the way the media is so willing to praise and fall for him over someone like Hilary.

Well they lob softballs at McCain too - pretty much all they can make fun of is the fact that he's old and a little out of touch. It's harder to ridicule someone who comes off as smart and together.

To be fair . . . the Daily show is very left leaning and they don't hide it . . but they did a whole week of shows during the DNC and even did a mock video (like the life of videos they play) that was damn funny . . . They will hit the left hard at times . .

Stewart's interviews with McCain have always been very light and friendly though . . .

They are left leaning, but they make fun of Obama and Biden when it warrants. They did a whole week from the RNC too and did a similar bio on McCain, only it wasn't as funny.

It just happens to warrant more often with Palin and Bush than it does with most anyone else.

Yes! And can we be fair, Palin is like Bush in the sense that they both are percieved as sometimes saying things that make little or no sense. People find it funny because it is real, that in the past, they both said things that are very absurd (I don't think they are dumb, just that they are not very elequent). Now what is there to make fun of with Obama or McCain? Obama, that he is percieved as playing the race card, and McCain that he is old. That is not as fun to make fun of. Like, with Gore vs. Bush in 2000, SNL only made jokes about Al Gore's lock box statement. This was not as funny as their skits about Bush, because those were a caricature of what he has said before. This is why there is an apparent divide in the "making fun" of Obama and McCain versus Palin. And I agree, the Daily show is left leaning, but they do make fun of Obama and Biden a bit. I mean, when Biden made the 1929 gaffe, Stewart let him have it.
