It’s true, folks! Hot source on the project states that Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner sequel is in the works under the command of veteran producer Bud Yorkin. Top screenwriters John Glenn and Travis Wright (Eagle Eye)

Yorkin already mentioned that if the green light is given, he’ll bring back stars Harrison Ford, Hutger Hauer and Daryl Hannah.

Seriously...there's movies that don't need sequels/prequels and this is one of them...I hope Harrison Ford doesn't accept...

A Blade Runner sequel is a monumentally stupid idea right off the bat, but bringing back Rutger Hauer and Daryl Hannah?

Whaaaaaaa?

No mention of Sean Young, shame, she was ravashingly beautiful, but unfortunately a little bit 'nuts', by all accounts, and extremely hard to work with. I dont think Ford would do it he's probrably feeling a little bit burned by sequels to classics after I.J & KOTCS (which I liked). Hauer, bless him, is just far too old now. Darryl still looks incredible.
It'd be better to do a new story set in the 'same world' with a new cast.

They're replicants, so bringing back Hauer and Hannah, add some CGI to make them appear as they did back in '82, and there you go. Whether or not it should happen, that's something else entirely.

I remember watching an interview/making-of doc in which Ridley Scott expressed some interest in doing a BR sequel. If this project does happen I truly hope he directs.

Harrison Ford...He's so old now...
