If you know who has #10, then you also know that they did not get it from direct ordering off the Sideshow website. Correct?
And if I am correct, then #15 is more rare than most persons may think....hint,hint ;)

To me, edition numbers on a statue mean nothing. If it were the first or last number, it might be worth something extra. Otherwise it's just a number.

Only number I would be willing to pay more for in case of the baddies is 666, anything else means nothing to me....

15? wooooow big deal, come back to me when you have the first or last number of the edition. The number means nothing, they just number them randomly. I find it HILARIOUS when ebayers reckon they can sell a statue for whatever they feel like if they mention in the title it's a low number. Hold me back!! :sleep :hang

MMm 899 for a Sauron statue limited to 9500 =S no thanks, i think that only having the statue is an advantage(no matter the number), some persons didnt get a statue and you have it, be happy with that an conform.

Isn't any number on a given statue just as rare as any other since there is only one of each number? If you follow my meaning.

Yuppers.............The # is truly meaningless  and is for nothing other then a way for scalpers to try to squeeze every last bit of moola out of a buyer……..

We were talking about this over at the shadow and flame board. You may have a base that says your statue is number 8/, but for all you know your statue could be number 4000/. Anyways, it all comes down to one thing, the quality of the statue. I would rather have number 8959/ with a great paint job, rather than number 3/ with a terrible one.

The lowes the # the less expirence paint job.......ummmmmmmm the high # the more tired of painting the same thing..... so at the end I want the middle one 4500.........I am Waitting for mine today :D lets see what # and Paint job i get!!! :horror

Does somebody know how the numbers on these statues actually get there? If you got statue number 15/9500, does that mean that it is the 15th ever made? Or does it mean that it could be the 12th ever made but that number 15 is still to give and so someone just decided to write that number on the figure? Or does it mean that the guy that did the paint job grabbed the 2nd figure ever made, but took so damn long to get the paint job right that all numbers between 1 and 14 did already leave the atelier with destination warehouse... I wonder...

I wonder... From what I understand, the bases are done in one place, while the statues are done in another. When it comes time to box them up, some one grabs a base, and a statue, and sticks 'em in a box. There is no correlation between the # on the base, and the statue.

P.s. I noticed that the auction had no takers :banana Looks good on ya propboy!
