any of you guys watch dexter on showtime? i love this show. i just started watching a few days ago and got hooked like superglue. ended up buying both seasons

I've seen the whole of season one. I think it's a good show, but I think it's a bit overrated. They liked to cash in on the fact the main character's a serial killer, but he only kills bad people who deserve it anyway, so to me he's more of an anti hero than a serial killer. I saw some of the twists coming in season one, but I still enjoyed the show enough to have ordered the second season box set. I've heard good things about season two and I'm looking forward to seeing what happens. Will let you know what I think when the box set arrives.

I'm flying through Season 1 right now. Aside from the humor, which is great, it's really interesting to see a true psychopath as a protagonist.
Hopefully I can catch up in time Season 3...

Funny that you post this today... my wife and I are totally into this show, we've been renting the first season from Blockbuster. We only have 2 more episodes to go until we can get to season 2!!

Amazing show, i've loved every minute of it. Fantastic acting, great storyline, and one of the best written/acted out shows to come along in a LONG time.

:rock

Watched both seasons 1 and 2....cannot wait for 3 to start in a couple of weeks.

1 was great, 2 was still really good.

Best show on television.

Season 2 might even be better than Season 1.

I interviewed Julie Benz last week, and it sounds like Season 3 won't lose any steam. Apparently, we're in for some kind of "reveal" in the very first episode.

love this show.
and the amazing thing (as far as book 1/season 1) they are REALLY faithful.

plus with the addition of Jimmy Smits this season...classic in the making.

I love this show too. He's such a likable guy, despite his "extracurricular activities".

I started reading the book series this show is based on and I love them too, though I wish I had read the books before watching the show because they are very similar to each other. I'm trying to finish the first book (Darkly Dreaming Dexter) so I can move onto the next one.

SOME VERY MILD SPOILERS FOR SEASON TWO

My season two box set arrived through the post the other day so I've just started watching the first few episodes of season two. I love the way Dexter's life starts falling apart from the first episode and things certainly got going a whole lot quicker in season two than season one, which was a bit of a slow build IMHO. Doakes has a certain amount of dry comedy value, great character. Loved the scene where he "catches" Dexter looking at porn on the internet. The whole thing about Angel sending a message out to the universe is pretty funny too.
