Original Film Scores....

So what's some of your favorite original film scores of the past few years?

For me I'd list the following as a few of my favorite....

"There Will Be Blood"
"The Dark Knight"
"The Village"
"Talk to Her"
"Once"

I like the majority of Wes Anderson's films soundtracks as well but I don't think they're considered original scores.

Not a film, but I do love the score/incidental music to the new Doctor Who series.

Couldn' get the haunting theme from The 25th Hour out of my head for days.

I actually bought it from iTunes, but went ot check and noticed its not on there anymore. Weird ...

Is it mostly strings or something else?

a lot of everything.
has a circus sound to parts. Lots of strings/bells/horns in different parts...

Me too. (I know.. big surprise).

I also love The Fountain but I would add The Assassination of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford by Nick Cave and Warren Ellis. This soundtrack is an awesome listen.

Good choice. If you liked it and haven't checked out the score for "The Proposition" it's another great one.
