Matt and Trey are in it, they didn't have anything to do with writing it. They'd spend the day acting on the set and then spend the night writing South Park and they did that for 2 months. It was written and directed by David Zucker better known for directing the Naked Gun movies

Terminator Salvation 9/10

I got to see this early tonight and it was great. The acting was awesome and the story worked really well. I was scared for this movie but if you like the other films at all you will like this movie a lot.

Read the following at your own risk. I spoil a great deal of the film here.

At first I didn't like the Marcus character at all. He was kind of out of place and I didn't really get what he was even doing there. But the last 30-45 minutes of the movie he really shines. To find out he is a prototype for the infiltration unit and he doesn't even know it is a real awesome twist.

I loved the different kind of Terminators that they had in this movie. Lots of different ones and each seemed to have it's own use. Snake like ones for water, motorbike ones for fast land movement, and even a giant one for capturing humans and taking them to the "camps where they are disposed of".

I also have to say that Arnie's appearence in this movie ROCKS! His fight with Connor and Marcus is awesome. Great effects and really brought back memories from the first movies. I was giddy with excitement when he was fighting and then Arnie's skin was blown off and the battle moved to the factory and it was awesome to see all the Terminators being put together. They really updated the way the T-800 Endoskeleton can move in this film. Way more realistic looking than in the older movies. I'm glad they did it.

Angels and Demons - 5/10 - Good acting and production, nice score but boring as hell. You could also see the ending coming from the start of the flick.

A side note, anyone else roll their eyes at characters like Robert Langdon and Ben Gates (from National Treasure, which I enjoyed) who just know to much bs? The dates and places and names of people and secret groups?

About Schmidt: 7.5/10 If it wasn't for some humoristic scenes in this film, this would be a really sad film. It has it's sadness right now, but thankfully the humor in it makes it more watchable. I saw it for the third or fouth time.

AVP: 5/10 There are some nice action scenes in this film, but that's all to it actually. Not much of a story, no good acting, just... meh.

Idle Hands: 4.5/10 There are some humoristic scenes in the beginning of the film about Devon Sawa's character being the laziest ^^^^^ in town, but overall not one of my favourite films... Although Jessica Alba is running around in a very nice angel halloween costume :monkey5

Night At The Museum: Battle For The Smithsonian: 7.5/10 I liked it! Pretty OK story, some good humor and cool new characters and museumpieces and of course also the old ones from part 1. :)

You know what disturbs me that people giving Star Trek (2009) 10/10 rating. 10/10 means an absolute classic, a movie that changed the film industry forever and etc. People shouldn't throw 10/10 every time whey see a cool movie with sweet CGI FX.

The best acting? beautifully shot? Lit? Omg, I'm writing to AFI to nominate this movie for achievement award in the cinema production.

Seriously, if it was what you're saying it is, then it would make lots of MORE money then it did at the moment.

Domestic: $155,536,131 68.2%
+ Foreign: $72,380,808 31.8%

see it's all personal taste.. I thought that movie was ok at best. I'm glad I watched it... but I wouldn't buy the dvd or anything.

So in your opinion, I'm wrong, because I didn't like it as much as you or the box office. Everyone's taste varies.. get use to it. ;)

You misunderstood my point, which was 10/10 is an absolute classic like JAWS, STAR WARS and etc. Star Trek is not a classic.

In hindsight, this one could be considered a "classic." It is impossible to tell what the impact of this movie is going to be, and how it will hold up relative to other movies of the current "era."

Personally, I think people will all but forget about Benjamin Button in 5 years, but will still remember and enjoy Star Trek, if that means anything.

Agreed and well put. The current impact is that Star Trek has been revitalized and new interest in the franchise has been sparked.

Aliens (again) 8/10. The movie just sort of falls apart at the end when they completely recycled the ending, Ripley running around with a woman screaming over the computer that times running out, replace the cat with Newt. Blah.

The first time I had super high expectations and was too distracted by it to really enjoy it. The 2nd time around I felt more relaxed and well, knew what to expect. I guess I just opened up more this time around, I dunno. It really is an excellent film, people shouldn't judge the entire thing based on Bales performance. It was bad but the film was good.

Watched the whole Matrix Trilogy over the weekend....
The Matrix: 10/10 totally still awesome, the ending still gives me goosebumps when RATM kicks in and Neo walks out of the phonebooth.

The Matrix Reloaded: 8/10 Dispite it being looked down upon, I really really enjoy this movie, all of the fight scenes are amazing, the car chase being one of the coolest scenes put on film ever, the story suffers a little bit. but the action makes up for it.

The Matrix Revolutions 5/10 :( What could of been an awesome finale failed, the ending "resolution" between neo and smith was pretty lame (as was the fight scene, lackluster) the entire movie had a bleak feeling to it, it felt...disgusting. The only thing that was actually entertaining was the battle of Zion, seeing the swarms of sentinels is quite a frightful visual, and the fight with the APU's was pretty cool. Aside from that....they could of done the series a better finale.

Overall Im quite satisfied with the series, I still want a HT Neo, Smith and Morpheus !

Terminator Salvation 9/10 I know there were a ton of holes in the script and Bale wasn't anywhere near as good as I thought he'd be but I still loved this flim. The Harvester, the T600, the T-800 scenes were all awesome. But Marcus totally stole the show. Terminator Salvation - 7.1/10

There were moments that were great, a couple that were amazing, and a bunch that made you scratch your head. Definitely a bag of assorted nuts.

I saw this on Cinemax a few months ago. Definantly a very good and underrated film. I thought it was kinda cool that it had Cillian Murphy who was in 28 Days Later and Rose Byrne who was in 28 Weeks Later.

I don't know that I would call Sunshine under-rated. Most people who see it tend to like it. The problem is that not a lot of people have seen it.

Sister had never seen it so we watched it. I can't find a single thing wrong with this movie. Seriously. Cinematic perfection.

Edward was fine in the movie.

Even Edward Furlong?

I saw nothing wrong with his performance. He is what I expected a young John Connor to be. He wasn't sure of his destiny to be some military leader. He doubted it but pulled his act together once he realized it was true. He had a knowledge of how to fight and he didn't really whine like a lot of kids do at that age. He played the role of a mature kid who had a hard time growing up because of the stuff he's been led to believe and the fact that his mom is in a nut house and he's been pushed around homes.

He is annoying but he is a 80's Reject!! There alll the same, lame phrases and bad acting but hay! His future will envolve: a nuclear war! him meeting his father who is younger than him? and have a punch up with a T-800!

He has to cut back in his youth right?

Not to change this into a disscussion thread deviant!

Ghosts of Mars 7.5/10 Alright.....

ALIEN 3: 7/10 Not a bad film, but definetely not as strong than the first two. It has it's moments though.

ALIEN RESURRECTION: 7/10 I always liked it. Maybe it's the idea of the "space-pirates," I don't know... The Human-Alien hybrid looks lame though, with his puppy eyes...

I hated it. I dunno....I just thought nothing happend in the movie...we mostly focused on the Susan chick, and her problems, and social acceptence and all that. Not fighting Aliens....It's not fun to watch a bunch of freaks mope in 3D.

The jokes also werent that funny...BOB's character is just....ugh. Some jokes were funny...but 90% of them fell flat. I bought a ticket to Star Trek, and used a pair of 3D glasses, so I wouldnt have to pay the 13.50.
