The first piece they did (Ryu) didn't quite turn out as expected (or hoped.) Lots of damages upon arrival.

SOTA immediately moved statue production to a different factory, and the Blanka Statue came out EXCELLENT! They also shifted to a much nicer full-color box with better packing carton/foam insert. Night and day difference.

These are all new sculpts (not figure re-do's.) We were genuinely impressed with the improved quality all the way around. Sagat is due to arrive in the next week or two.

The Exclusive Green Vega 18" piece goes on sale TODAY (Friday 7/18/08) at 10am PST! It is limited to only 50 pieces of this very popular P2 version. We do expect it to sell out very quickly, and we currently expect arrival toward the end of September.

Yeah, I don't think these Street Fighter PFs are the hottest thing out right now. Although with an ES of 50 you can't really go wrong. I love rare items. :lol:rock

I don't think so. I didn't get an email telling me I was billed- just an order processed email.

On their site they mention you will get that email, but not to worry, the card is not charged automatically and all their card processing is done by hand and will be charged when the item is ready to ship.

I played ST (Street Fighter super turbo) just to see how accurate this statue is...and theres like 3 things wrong with the colors.

1.The sash should be yellow, not red
2. His hair should be light brown. Imagine if SS gave Han Solo blonde hair, the warehouse would be on fire the next day, and dusty would have to read over 1,000 crybaby/b^^^^y posts in here.
3. Skin tone/color is off.
My problem: the face is still not feminine.

They still have an exclusive Ryu on their site for retail though. Akuma is doing well but that is to be expected because he is the first in the line. Only time will tell though. I really hate playing the guessing game so if I buy something it's because I like it. If it goes up in value then even more awesome! :rock

Well, Shin Akuma is. Thats because Akuma is Akuma, who has a very popular following. Jerry did a good job on him too. Vega really got tore up in the comment department, because of the face, and this "green" vega just because of all the innaccuracies.

Morrigan is near perfect, a bit of complaints on the eyes, but I think thats really nothing.

Hey guys!

We just finally sealed the deal with Jerry three days ago, plus since we just received the final paint deco picture of our Exclusive Zangief figure for the Revolutions line, and we just bought out SOTA's entire inventory of Series 1 through 4 stock this week... It just made sense to sort of make it a "Street Fighter" event, if you will.

We sent out a Press Release to a bunch of sites last night, but when it comes right down to it... at 50 pieces it'll be sold out within the next couple of hours. It has actually worked out well because it has kept our server from getting slammed with all 50 orders at once this morning (to someone else's previous point.)

We've only had a handful of people buy more than one, which is fine. We're not going to let anyone buy a bunch of them though.

I think we're down to 11 now. My guess is that we'll be taking WAIT LIST orders by this this evening.

Refresh the screen (F5) usually works with most browsers. Your computer is pulling old version of the page because you have cacehd into memory.

Thats a Photoshop mockup. The color of the sash and hair will be correct on the actual piece. The funny thing is I used the SOTA action figure as the color basis and it has a red sash ! I cant remember anyone ever telling us we got that wrong.

The green is a *little* dark but its close to the pantone Capcom provided. The pastel green in the pic someone posted is not considered canon.

A third version is not something I will do very often but I had an absurd number of requests for it. Over 30 emails on myspace and PMs here. As someone said I try to be a 'fan pleaser'. I also thought it would be fun to have something uber rare out there for those that are diehard fans.

I cant make everyone happy. some would have been upset that I didnt make the green and some will be upset I did. Its a no-win situation but I learned that running SOTA. I just do what I feel is best.

You wont see a third variant of another statue for a long time.

Undeniably, it is a cool piece with a low ES. You can't go wrong with that. It will hold its value, barring the occasional desperate seller.

The folks here who are dumping their DOTF bronzes are just desperate, so it's too early to tell the "true value" of the piece. But whatever, SW is a saturated mess. You can't compare the DOTF bronze to this, because to the SW collector, the DOTF bronze is just another SW collectible that competes with other SW pieces.

But when it comes to high end Street Fighter.. yeah, there weren't any until now. It's safe to say that this green Vega will hold its value in the long run. However, if the overriding motive for everything you collect is flippability, then you're not going to enjoy the hobby at all. :emperor

yeah I bought the SW FB stuff to flip but they really haven't taken off but I always flip right after shipping pretty much or after the mad rush to ebay. Sure I could hold on to some pieces and make more but sometimes prices drop so i think it evens out for the most part. plus the money i make on one item i can buy another item to flip and in the time it would take the fist item to take off i've made money off 2 items. just the way i do it. i don't have the room to buy and hold too many items.

i don't plan to flip this one though but i do figure I'll get my money back if I do sell it. that's important in the lines i collect outside of my main collection lines.
