Well, here goes...
This will be the first time in almost a year and a half I've seen any version of TFOTR & TTT. It'll be almost 2 years now since I saw TFOTR and TTT theatrical cut, but it's been 15 months since I saw the extended editions.
I got properly prepared- I watched all the tv spots for the theatrical Fellowship, then watched the Enya music video, then watched the 3 theatrical trailers.
Now I"m watching the theatrical Fellowship.

Nemo, I just watched FOTR and TTT extended cuts last week. I had only seen both extended cuts once, and it was a GREAT experience. I've probably seen FOTR 5 times total, and TTT 3 times total. I've always found that I spend MUCH more time discussing and thinking about films than actually watching them.
I do have about 250 DVD's though, and I haven't even seen some of them at all yet. Tough to watch LOTR for the 5th time when you haven't had time to watch Clone Wars, The Incredibles, Alien Quadrilogy, The Battle of Algiers, etc, etc. for the first time.
