I kept thinking it was some movie based on Dr. Doom. And I kept thinking "hmm.. Dr. Doom movie called Doom? Makes no sense. Well, is there any big franchise or story called Doom? Not that I can remember.. weird... Doom means bad stuff inevitably happening pretty much... lets see the trailer"

and then at the end when I see the title in that letter I think to myself: "DUH!! *smacks head* "

Hmmmm....I didnt hear one familiar Doom sound in there. I was at least expecting the doors to make that familiar sound they make when you open them. Didnt recognise any of the demons either. This movie looks nothing more then your average AVP movie.

In other words: I dont like it

They had the trailer at SDCC along with other footage. Supposedly the demons are from Doom 3, although they redesigned some and made new ones.

The other footage shown was a long, long clip from the perspective of Urban's character and it looked like it was from the game. I thought it was really boring (and they said they only showed half of the sequence) but the crowd seemed to love it.

I'll see this movie, but I don't have a lot of hope for it.

Based on this little trailer I may have to make an effort to go see it. It looks like it will be a good ride which is one thing I really want in my movies.

I'm a huge game fan, but after Doom 2, it kinda ended....

The original Doom game is just about the best shooter ever imho

You people are insane - THIS MOVIE IS GONNA ROCK!!

I seriously doubt this movie will rock and most likely it won't be worth seeing, but even after saying that I will still give it a try... as long as I go and see it before I read reviews.

I have my doubts about this movie...and for me that is sad...for I was playing Doom before it was released to the general public, and then played Doom and Doom 2 for years! Loved the game...but doubt they will do a good job....

They should have made it much like the first Alien....

I can't see how it'll be bad. Honestly, it's not like I'm looking for a story or anything. Basically as long as the effects are good and there's a bunch of explosions and blood and guts, it'll be a success.

It's SUCH a great movie!

Although in reality I did think some parts of the movie were great. I would have prefered a movie based more on the video game that had real crazy crap in it. I could see it being made. A cartoon!


Why are video games not produced as cartoon movies?!
