I'm not sure if this was ever in other countries but did anyone go to Alien War? I went to the one at the Trocadero, London.

I went twice because it was so good and scared the crap out of me! :google

A group of participants were escorted on foot by armed US Colonial Marines to view an "Alien Research Facility" which was an immersive dark set in the style of the films Alien and Aliens. The Aliens would inevitably escape and menace, chase and sometimes even capture both the colonial marines and members of the public. The adult Aliens were realised by performers in suits and the facehugger creatures were animatronic effects.

Even though you know it isn't real you get really scared! I even kick one of the aliens in the head! :lol

It's so realistic - the setting, sounds, guns, smells, USCM, aliens!

It's a shame it shut in 1996 (I was 16).

I even got to hold one the pulse rifles after we had exited! :chew

"Alien War 2008

Gary Gillies, co-creator of Alien War, has announced that Alien War will reopen in London in April 2008. A previous announcement was made that it would open in October 2007 in Glasgow, but this has since been retracted."

HUH?! I went in 1995 and there no fachuggers at all - there was a bit when the marine leading us (complete with crap fake American gruff accent) led us into a room which was meant to be a shuttle craft. Conveniently he was the only one to "hear" scuttling across the floor as he crouched down to look under the furniture/seats while telling us to get out out of the room before we would realise there was no facehugger there at all cos they couldnt afford (a realistic) one.

Alien War was only ever in London and Glasgow I think. The London one closed down cos of flooding in about 96. Some of the members of the public that were led around in the tour group were actually plants - like the ones that were grabbed away by aliens.

Don't worry folks, that shot in the bottom right is actually from Aliens - it's not part of the set at Alien War. And the Queen never appeared in the tour either.

:lol That might have been me! :monkey3

It wasn't a hard kick and I was only about 13-16 years old. It would have been around 1993-96... so about 10 years ago.

Tell him I'm sorry! :monkey3

EDIT: I think I read your message wrongly. So he wasn't playing one of the aliens?

Well I would have had a skin head and quite slim... I also got told off by one of the USCMs for messing about at the start! :monkey3
