Hot Toys Leon - RPD or Original?

I canceled all my orders for the Hot Toys RE4 figures because ... well, I did the math and it was going to eat away my resources for the first 2 to 3 months due to the high costs. But, after seeing some of the pics of Leon, I think I want to at least pick up him. If you could only buy one version, which one would you choose? Also, how close of a match to Leon in Part 2 is the RPD outfit?
 
The RPD outfit? it's exactly how it appears in RE2. it just has some extra axxessories on it, like the knife sheathed on his shoulder, or the leg drop holster for his pistol. take of the extras, and he's simply in his RE2 costume.


Personaly? i prefer RE4 Leon. He was so much more of a bad ass in RE4
 
i'd go with the RPD version... just because of all the accessories it comes with. hopefully they'll come out with a chris redfield and jill redfield someday.
 
Both versions have the same accesories, except for one. RE4 has a typewriter, RPD has the laser weapon form the ps2 version.
 
I prefer the original, because it's the actual canon outfit he wears in the game. :lecture And, yes, I know that the RPD uniform is unlockable... I've played it that way many times as well. But the original is just more iconic to RE4, which is easily one of my Top 3 games of all time (incidentally, I don't like other games in the RE series much at all. Looking forward to RE5, though)
 
The CG Resident evil movie? Resident Evil Degeneration? The one capcom is making in house? There was a thread about it in general liscences a few weeks ago... actualy it might of been back in december. It even had a link to the teaser trailer. I t looked like it takes place in an airport. atleast that's where the trailer was set.

movie is a new story, it takes place either before or after RE4, we don't know which yet.
and since it's being done in house, and not being liscened out, it should be made of win and gold.

While the film will feature a "brand new storyline", promotional footage states that the film will be set "7 years from Raccoon City" (the events of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis), two years after the destruction of the Umbrella Corporation seen in Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles, and one year after the kidnapping of Ashley Graham (Resident Evil 4), placing it in the fourth quarter of 2005.

Man, I can't believe I hadn't heard of this until today. Then again, I've never been much of a RE fan. I love love love RE4 but don't really care for the other games. And I hate the live action movies.

Stoked for this, though. :rock
 
I prefer the RE4 outfit. The jacket looks really nice and if you take it off you have another outfit to display. The RPD version looks nice too but I kinda thnk the sleeves look weird. Here are some pics taken by Wookster that are just amazing. You should wait for his review on mwctoys.com before you make your decision.

That's quite close but it's not exactly the same coat... I know, I'm being a smart ass:D

If I'd have to grab only one, I think it would be RPD Leon. Certainly because RE2 is my favourite resident evil game and it reminds me of Raccoon city, umbrella, the zombies... nostalgia...
 
I'm still not 100% that I'll be getting one, but I prefer the RE4 version. I really liked the game, and I think the looks is a bit cooler. Also the typewriter is a cool accessory.
