i woke up this moring and had the urge to pick up an HT colonial marine.:D either vasquez or hudson.. or maybe both, if i can get em at a good price.

id really appreciate it if any of you guys could just give me a rough estimate on what these go for on ebay?i want to know what to put as a max bid.

p.s. i really need a marine figure lool:chew

Ripley and Drake are the cheapest. You can still get them for around $100 or possibly less (for Ripley anyway). The others are probably going for $130 - $150 (although this is getting higher). Hicks is the exception, as he may go as high as $300 mint in box. He'll always be over $200.

That's how I got my second Hicks, and my only Apone & Vasquez. Some guy had a buy-it-now for $400-somethin' from Spain...he had great feedback and had all the figures unopened and MIB so I nabbed them!

I still can't believe I managed to get a Hicks from The Godfather two Christmases ago (2006) for 90 dollars SHIPPED. The prices on Ebay hadn't gone crazy then, but were around 120 and he was sold out everywhere online. Bob's website listed the figure as sold out, but I sent him a PM anyway and he told me he would check the warehouse to be sure. A few days later, he replies, "I've got one with box damage, but the figure is in mint shape. How's 90 shipped sound." I jumped on it. Irony is that when it arrived, the box really didn't look that bad. So, I feel like I definitely lucked on on that one.

However, a quick suggestion, if you can wait... wait. There's a good chance HT will be announcing a new line from another Alien movie -- hoping for A L I E N -- in which case, the prices will surely drop as everyone focuses on a new alien line.

I wonder how much a fully decked out and customize Hicks would go for on eBay, like some of the beauties people have posted in this section?

I purchased a drake figure this morning..When purchasing the figure i was automatically charged $30 for shipping to the United Arab Emirates.that menu at the bottom of every listing where you can check shipping costs. However in the sellers description of the item he states,
$30 is the price to asia and singapore.
$38 for rest of the world.

Well, it sounds like the shipping costs were correctly stated in the auction but the automatic calculation at checkout didn't work properly for some reason. You probably have no choice but to just send him a separate paypal payment for the $8.

Right, I realize its the middle east, but technically SW Asia if you had to put it on a continent...just what I came to refer to the area during my 2 deployments in that part of the world. Just my argument to get you a cheaper shipping price and why checkout may have automatically calculated $30.

Still, decent shipping price, I've seen stuff ship for $50+, just crazy. And an even better total price given how scarce those figs are becoming. I even cringe at shipping quotes from Canada to US from toys2...I'd call myself cheap, but then again I pay $100+ for some figs! Congrats.

hopefully they have him but i remember when i was looking for him i found a couple of places that had him listed in stock for around 90-115 but it always turned out that they were out of stock and just hadn't updated their wedsite.

If you do get him he's an awesome figure. a fellow board member helped me get mine and i was also fortunante enough to get one of les' hicks heads.

I don't even think Hot Toys figures are limited edition in the same way as some other companies', but I'm not sure. Of course there would still be a certain number that they produced, but I doubt that they publicize it.

I still dont think many people will sell their hicks figure despite the price. Their marines set will be very incomplete without him there. Also most people dont have more than 1 hicks.

I think the reason he's so much rarer than the others is that if you're going to just have one marine, Hicks would be it. So a lot of people who don't have the other figures bought him. Of course, that means that they aren't as tied to keeping the figure as someone with all of the marines, since as you say you can't very well sell Hicks and keep the rest. So if these are really selling at this price, I wouldn't be surprised to see more.

Did you get paid yet, BTW?

Yeah, I got a Hudson that was missing the helmet for $86 the other day that I plan to turn into a Hicks (don't really need the helmet, since I plan to display him without it anyway). So all I need now is Apone.

BTW, got my Vasquez yesterday. She's pretty nice, although I don't seem to have one of those velcro name tags that go on the vest. Is she supposed to have one?

I can't believe this... I'm actually appalled at this. No figure is worth that amount of money... the buyer should be ashamed of them selves... That money could be so much better spent on a real piece of art... but $2350+ on a 12" figure is stupid!

Yeah, but unless it's a buy-it-now, there's not much point in linking to an auction and claiming that it's cheap, because for most auctions the real bidding is done in the last minute or two.
