Dont know if you guys know but:

Capcom announced a partnership with Sony Pictures Entertainment Japan to make a CG Resident Evil movie for release next year, reports Shacknews. The bad news is no Milla Jovovich. The good news? Paul W.S. Anderson probably has nothing to do with it.
The movie, titled Biohazard: Degeneration in Japan, purportedly features "groundbreaking visual effects and a brand-new storyline." Unknown is when the film will be released internationally, and whether it will hit theaters or go straight-to-DVD, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children-style. Hopefully the US will get it next year as well, as we imagine an animated movie made in cooperation with Capcom in Japan will be far more faithful to the series than the live-action disasters flicks.

While the film will feature a "brand new storyline",[1] promotional footage suggests that the film will be set "7 years from Raccoon City" (the events of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis) and one year after the kidnapping of Ashley Graham (Resident Evil 4), placing it in the fourth quarter of 2005. The trailer implies that the film(or part of it) will take place in an Airport terminal. Zombies are shown as overruning the terminal and killing SWAT officers. The teaser included with the Resident Evil: Extinction DVD and Blu-ray Disc releases confirmed the appearance of Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield.[2]

Yeah I remember that from along time ago. But for some reason I also remember him wanting to change one of the characters into something else (cant remember exactly). Either way it would of turned out alot better then the ones that were released.
