Though the screenshot doesn't answer this question outright, we can confirm that the game's graphics are polygonal but the gameplay is strictly 2D. There will be new moves, locations, and gameplay features, while the standard six button control scheme remains. Ryu and Ken return along with Chun-Li and Dhalsim, but beyond that the character roster is a mystery. And then there's the issue of what platform(s) the game will end up on, which at this point Capcom is keeping close to its chest

This is, undoubtedly, the game I've been waiting for since the last century. I hope the game mechanics are as fast and crisp as the graphics look. I'll buy whatever system it comes out on.

WOW! The original Street Fighter 2 was my first video game addiction. I used to go to my local Gas station and play it every afternoon. The owner knew me and every time I came in, he knew I was going to get a Yoo-hoo, big Slim Jim and a Reese's cup. It was awesome, some of my best video game memories.

I've been excited about this for a while, nice to see some pics at last. :rock
