View Full Version : Indiana Jones PF pose poll

Not so much a poll, but here's something fun - post a pic or screen cap of how you'd like to see the first(?) Jones PF posed. After we have a few suggestions I'll start a poll with the most popular suggestions.

They kinda did show the pose with that Indy video a little while ago, didn't they? They showed the piece, but you couldn't see any details due to clever dark lighting.

I think most people want a raiders pose not a temple of doom one

It's the same outfit, so I don't think it matters which film it's from.

Yeah, but that one pic has him with the Machette and his sleeve ripped. Only happened in The Temple of Doom....and in The Last Crusade his outfit actually was a tad different....he wore a tie with the Leather Jacket on, which he didn't in the other two, save for when he was in a suit!
I think we are all so starved for Indy pieces that we would probably buy one of him teaching school or even eating a piece of fruit!

It don't get more classic than this pose.

I would really love a 1/4 scale PF of Indy on his horse going full throtle and guns blazing. As the second, more action oriented PF this would look awesome.

Yep, there's nothing more iconic than this one - that's why Cinemaquette is going with it. I doubt SSC will choose the same pose though. But since it's ostensibly different markets, perhaps they would? Will LFL approve the same pose for 2 different pieces though?

If they really want to push the envolpe then this would look take center stage in most collections. Just think about this pose with a simple picture backdrop. :drool:zzwhip

I think I like the plate one best too. I also liked the pose Cinemaquette did and the Temple of Doom pose posted above. Except I want him to have his jacket on so its more Raiders like. I would prefer him to not be holding the machete too but that wouldn't stop me from buying it like him not wearing the jacket would.
I'm really having a hard time deciding whether I want Indy in PF or 12" so it'd be awesome if they came out close enough together to see which sculpt I like better and whether I like the PF pose.

I'd go for either the Raiders or the Temple of Doom poster poses. Jacketless Indy is just more fun. (And less Last Crusade.)
(Costume is not the same, though, Dave. For one thing, Indy doesn't have his right shirtsleeve in Temple of Doom...)
Slight edge to Raiders. And I couldn't care less what Cinemaquette does, although I do see that to be a kind of a problem.
It don't get more classic than this pose.

I want a Raiders Indy first, then I'll take Temple of Doom and Last Crusade.
I've always liked simplicity. A pose with his whip slung over his shoulder like in the Raiders poster would be awesome.
And this pose has always been one of my favorites:

Seriously, anything with the whip flying around probably won't be feasible.
So let's have a jacketed Indy from the Raiders poster, and the jacketless Indy from the Temple of Doom poster... and perhaps two more Joneses from the other two films. Hey, why not!

Judging by the previous sideshow featurette, I think their going for the pose by the river banks at the beginning of raiders where Indy's face is first revealed

No, no, no.
That would be a terrible pose, and it would totally ween me off buying the PF.
It's also based on their in-studio modelling, not on photos of Harrison.
Seriously, that's just some random guy half-squatting, as if fending off a particularly nasty bout of diarrhoea. And holding a gun and a whip, all confused.
That's NOT my Indy.

I think it's his approach to the golden idol at the start of raiders trying to avoid the pressure pads that release the arrows
saying that if it was, he shouldn't have the whip

I know the 12" will be debuting at Toy*Fair. Any chance the p.f. will be shown as well?
I am kinda thinking we'll see it announced in May right when the new movie comes out. Kinda like what SS did with the p.f. Grievous a couple years ago (right before RotS came out)....
I'm passing on the 12". But, I am a definite for the p.f. Indy.

I guess to get the popularity of the lines going, Jones will be the first 12 inch, AND the first PF most likely. Oh, I'd kill for an Indy PF, but what I'm waiting to see the MOST is a Mola Ram PF, holding up a burning heart. EX being a light up feature?!?!:monkey5:monkey5
That's what I really want the most out of this line.

Yea, the PF pose doesn't look spectacular, but it's only a silhouette, I'll have to see what the actual figure looks like.
What I'm REALLY looking forward to see is the 1:1 scale bust, I hope it comes with a removable fedora!!!!!

I like the look of him coming into the ancient chamber getting the first glance of the treasure and the thought of traps and danger!!! :rock

I agree, although I do like the actiony pose of the upcoming Aragorn PF, there's just something that I REALLY like about the full 'standing' poses, like the Boba Fett, Anakin and the 2 John Wayne PF figures. I'm REALLY hoping Indy will be in a 'strong, confident, standing' pose. At least for the first one, the Raiders one...then he can be all actiony for TOD with the machete, ripped sleeve and battle wounds! :rock

I think the most important factor for SS here is to capture the face of Harrison instead of a statue that looks only like Indiana because he is wearing the leather jacket, holding the whip and a fedora.
Pose wise, I like the pose on the Indy 4 poster.

Sideshow should have an "Indy Day", the day of the movie's release. And have the PF available for pre-order then, along with other fun Indy activities. Of course, sooner would be much better.
