It looks great and I can't wait to add it to the rest of my collection.

United Cutlery Thread on the Gondorian Shield!

Nice - when is the Boromir Shield coming, thats the one i want.

HOLY CRAP!!! Im getting this one, Im jumping on the wagon.

Boromir's shield is not officialy announced by United Cutlery.
They may not make it....but we are all crossing our fingers.

Man, you guys should see what I have....I am almost finished with my LOTR room. You're just gonna drop jaw!

I'll post soon. I'm still waiting on my new Mannequin for Legolas. The one I have at present is headless and all my other ones have heads....And I bought a nice Lego-wig and everything...So, I'm waiting on that!

Look at the close up pictures posted....You can see the battle Damage....there are simulated sword cuts and dents!

Man that's sweet. It would look great displayed with the Gondorian helm.

I can't remember what type of shields were used by the Gondorians in the prologue part of The Fellowship of the Ring.

If it is one of those type, then... I'm suddenly really interested in getting one, and getting a UC Numenorean infantry helm.

Yes, this is a Gondorian Shield of the 2nd Age. The ones used in ROTK did not have the point at th ebottom to dig into the ground and brace the shield when fending off pikemen or archers.

That is from the Bob and Dave show...David Cross. When the 'Metallica' type band went to see that kid who burned himself up...that was all that was left of him! Funny!

I believe the story was he was feeling down in the dumps and then he listened to this band's song that really promoted suicide, so he tried killing himself in acid only he didn't die.

And then the band came to see him and cheer him up and to try living again.

Then they saw him like that all melted miniature and looking like a bunch of hotdogs.. so they wrote a new song and performed it for him called
"Try again".

It's from the show "Mr. Show".

Right...Mr. Show with Bob and David....

And the video of 'Try Again' was shot like Enter Sandman from Metallica.

That was a funny bit ion that episode.
