Yeah, the faces are pretty close to what it looks like in person. I'd say the likeness to EW in real life is better but the rest are about the same. Just like with the SS pics the colors aren't as brite as they appear in the pics.

Ouch ! I usually try to stay pretty positive about all different types of LOTR collectibles , and I prefer to allow a bit of room for minor flaws with hand sculpted pieces as far as likeness is concerned , but this I have to say IMO is crap ! This thing needs to be flushed :flush !Truly frightening ! I could not imagine having this thing on display with my SSW stuff . whoever it was in an earlier thread that said Galadriel looked like Patrick Swazey , you were dead on . Had Patrick played Galadriel , that sculpt of her would be absolutey wonderful . This is one of those rare times where I am completely disgusted with an LOTR collectible . No offense intended toward those that like this piece .

Yeah, the problem with the LOTR plaques is that the original artwork was focused so intently on the faces of all the cast membes. I've got the Star Wars ones on order, but only because there are very few humans present. The one that DOES have a lot of humans present, the ANH Style D poster, doesn't look good at all, IMO.

Gandalf looks good and the Viggo face isnt off by much, much closer than the Strider statue. The rest........:doh but it captures the characters like its been said before they dont need to be spot on.

They're not perfect likenesses, but I'm loving the Star Wars 3D posters. I may end up getting these if I have the wall space.

You've got to keep in mind that since this poster is 10.5 inches tall, Galadriel's head is probably an inch or less. I think given the circumstances, they did as good a job as you can on such a small scale.
